7.62 =Tokarev
7.63 =Mauser
its correct, Soviets copied the 7.63x25 Mauser used in C96 with a very very small modification of making it 7.62x25 to standardise which is why they could cut a 7.62x54 mosin barrel in half and put it in a ppsh to skip all necessary skilled work.
Germans found out ppsh41 works with their own 7.63 Mauser so they supplied captured ppsh41s with Mauser ammo.
Other then the ammunition being different, the German ppsh is early pattern so the fire rate and the rear sights are different.
Thx for your help
Little question: for the Russian’s guns, only the C96 use 7 .63 mauser ?
I guess so - tho German 7.63 mauser could work inside PPSH, the other way around is problematic, because 7.62 Tokarev had a more powerful propellant.
Loading a C96 with TT ammo would probably damage the gun.
