Building destruction

This is pretty self-explainatory. We loved it in Bf3 and ArmA series, it just works.
Don’t you ever get annoyed when you shell a barn multiple times and it’s still in place?
This could also force players to use engineers and make them more useful - building new structures, using shovels to dig ditches, improvize.

One thing I liked about Battlefield 5 was the destruction of buildings, I definitely want that in the game.

sure if they can get it to run on last gen consoles or pc equivalents, meaning anything that can now run the game.

It would require them to make entirely new ruin models for 1000+ different houses we have in the game. I doubt they would ever do something that big considering that they only add a few unique buildings every new map. Not to mention they would have to redesign and check every map individually so the building destruction looks good and doesnt ruin mission balance. Most enlisted map devs seem to be working on active matter anyway

I want this to be implemented. When I requested this, I was criticized by many poop people, but this is correct. Also, Japan should apologize to China.

where? i mostly see copy paste of few models of buildings 1000 times.

I suppose some of them can stay indestructible or be less prone to destruction, but wooden barns? that kind of breaks the immersion. I believe it’s possible and it can’t be that bad (1000+ seems exaggerated)

maybe there is hope if we make this post more visible to draw their attention

Cause destructible buildings would definitely bring some players in and makes for an more immersion game with each battle being unique

sorry but you can level the cover for the entire capture point. it is a lot harder to level a building with bombs and shells than you think.

I guess 1000 was exaggerated but my point still stands. It would take the devs years to do this with the current pace. They would also have to make multiple ruin variants for every building since it would look ugly if i shot the left side of the building with a tank but only the right side got damaged.

Even if only barns and wooden buildings were destructible some objectives in mosocow are just wooden barns and huts. If these could be destroyed the mission would become extremely unbalanced. The devs would have to redesign lots of missions and add new buildings and objectives. It took them one major update to redesign one mission from tunisia now imagine if they had to do that for the entire moscow map and possibly some other maps as well.

agreed with this. only thing keeping some objectives somewhat balanced and vehicles not OP is indestructible buildings. otherwise you could clear caps all the time with tanks, planes and arty.

oh trust me, I know exactly how hard it is

ok well, as long as they dont think a dozen 75mm shells or a single bomb load is going to level a good sized building. the trouble is creating a debris mechanic, im fine with building destruction i am opposed to building fall down, building rubble vanish

Only trouble is making not sure it runs on all current hardware that can currently run enlisted, which given bad company did destruction enlisted can as well
