The Bf 109 F-4/Trop is a plane located on BR3 of the German TT, but is unfortunately a very weak vehicle for this rank. It only has a single 20mm cannon with 200 rounds and dual 7.92mm machine guns, and also has no payload at all. Compare this to the P-51 D (6x 12.7mm machine gun with tons of ammo, 2x 500lb bomb) and the Ki-100 (two 20mm cannons with 400 rounds + two 12.7mms with 500 rounds, 2x 250kg bombs), and you can see this is very much weaker than the current BR3 fighter aircrafts. So to make this plane more competitive on this BR, I have two buffs in mind. The first is to give it a payload, which will allow it to strike ground targets, and I personally suggest a fire bomb be used on this one, and could be an interesting plane to try this new kind of bomb on. The second buff is to fit the plane with dual 15mm gun pods located on the wings to increase it’s firepower against other aircraft.
The Ki-100 is also BR3, yet has another 20mm cannon and double the rounds for it, as well as dual 12.7mm machine guns. The 15mm ‘cannons’ aren’t really all that much powerful than 12.7 or 13mm machine guns, if you’ve used the BF 109 F-2, you know how terrible it’s singular 15mm is against planes, so I don’t see why it would make it too strong. And besides, even if it does get bombs, no matter what kind it will still be significantly smaller than the Ki-100 and P51 D’s armament.
Ki100 20s are wing mounted with a much worse ammo belt. 4/trop is nose mounted with a much better ammo belt. This alone is a significant difference. Have you never wondered why the 4/trop seemingly kills planes so much easier than others while only having one 20mm.
Yes, p51 has bigger payload, but has much worse flying characteristics and even though it has six 50 cals they still don’t compare to the singular 4/trop’s 20mm. As they’re pretty much only capable of firing solid AP. The same thing that made american tanks so bad for a really long time.
Yes, ki100 also has a bigger payload, good guns (not the best ammo belt), and great flying characteristics. It is one of the best overall planes in the game, but it shouldn’t really be the thing everything gets compared to. Kind of like everything shouldn’t be directly compared to the panther g or tiger h1 on br4. It’s a standout plane that I’m not so sure should of been placed in br3 to begin with, and currently it’s equipment doesn’t directly impact germany’s.
So, i would be up for having both the gun pods and bomb load if the ammo belts were changed to a worse version. I think that would be fair at that point, but i would rather have the better ammo with no gun pods because it’s what makes it feel so good to use right now and makes it a bit unique. The plane in it’s current state really only needs a bomb load. I think asking for more is just too much. It’s great as is.
Honestly the 15mm MG151 is ass. It has abysmal ammo composition
I think much more significant buff would be increasing it’s 20mm ammo count but I don’t believe it could hold more than 200 rounds in WT
Giving it the 15mm cannons would make it slightly better, but I doubt it would even matter as much, and especially I don’t think they would be significant enough to make me go ‘oh no no, with this change this plane becomes too powerful’
In my mind, it’s not so much that it would suddenly become OP, but more of not wanting so many things going for a mid tier plane (in general, not just against germany). Good gun/cannon composition, good ammo belts, good bomb load, good speed, good turn rate. Especially when you start comparing it to u.s. fighters of br3, nothing has all those things going for it.
Maybe it’s because of the teams and not the equipment? Soviet gear is 90% of the time on par or better than axis stuff. I’ve played the USSR plenty, there is absolutely no problem with the gear at all.
I watched the reruns. I had an AUTH-40-20 and another player. The other allies are SVT-38, Mosin rifles, and KV-1s all the time. The Germans mostly have FG, STG, Panthers, and in the rink that I watched, only one German had a rifle.
What’s the point of improving Soviet weapons if 2-3 people take them in battle? German weapons should be made worse.
That’s a bad argument, nerfing a faction’s weapons that are on the correct BR just because enemy players suffer from a lack of IQ and use lower BR weapons is a bad idea. The entire balance for a faction shouldn’t depend on people using less powerful weapons on high BR, what happens when they use the proper equipment?
If everyone uses normal weapons, victory finally happens. And personally, I want compensation for all those defeats, tomorrow I will send in private messages the results of the battles during the time of the companies and now.
How do you think the problem should be solved? Definitely not by improving the weapons of the winning team. Personally, it seems to me that someone is sending bots to play for the Soviet team.
Not gonna lie, compared to what Axis and Soviets have at the moment on BR3, these aircraft would better fit in BR4.
Buffing Axis and Soviets up is the obvious answer to this.
Only the soviets the Axis have FW that is very good plane but its not for all. Not to mention Japanese tanks and ground attackers are a joke. Germany BR III is OK. But the Soviets have the best tanks at BR III so really dont know are really the Allies and Japan that great but BR III Germany is solid much better then BR II Germany and much better then BR III Japan since Japan has only the Ki -100 but they can be swapped it with Ki-61-II Otsu Kai.
When you remove the Ki-100 what other Japanese vehicle is good ?
All the Japanese BR III vehicles are literally BR II Axis/Allies and Soviet vehicles.
they used to be good with API (c) but that ammo has long since nerfed to oblivion (warthunder)
I would put them on…but at the same time no loss, if they arent added…Truth is, I suspect they would barely be noticed…one may even notice the performance loss over the guns themselves lol (joke…or am I?)
