Buff the lethal radius for bombs against tanks

HE has been nerfed too much over the years and now it’s gotten to the point where the smaller bombs like the 50 kgs, 60 kgs, and 100 lbs are next to useless, occasionally direct hits on tanks result in a track getting blown off but nothing dead.

This has made planes like the A6M2 next to useless since it isn’t even guaranteed that a direct bomb hit on a tank is even going to kill it.

Chi-Ha Short Gun became also so useless that it deserves to be BR II now lol

I dunno, early bf109s and IL2 with 50kg bombs blows tanks easily, problem might be related to high tier tanks because I remember there was a match I played year ago, we lost and we were watcing premimum fw190 guy with his 50kgs, dude literally spammed all his 50kgs to soviet tank and they directly dropped to 1m away from tank and somehow it survived, but this isn’t the case with br1-3 tanks.

Thats just standard Soviet bias.
IS-1 and 2 will shake off even 100kg bombs unless dropped on top of them.

I support this

My main experience with this issue is the Japanese 60kg bombs on the Zero, I’ve gotten hit markers on Shermans and it just blows off a track. Or landing both bombs right next to an M8 Scott just for nothing to happen. It’s just annoying that the game is actively punishing skilled pilots who are able to land bombs on top of tanks by making their bombs do nothing.

Someone is trying to bomb from 1000 ft altitude…

You?

nah - I don’t need the radius increased

No one needs it, it would just be nice so that more Shermans die

when you direct hit and they don’t kill
it’s usually because you dropped on is 2 or they were moving

Skill issue

Ah yes please show your “skills” in practice mode, with perfectly flat ground, no cover, no trees or uneven ground in your way of bombing.

Im against increasing bomb radius but practice mode is not evidence worthy, as its name indicates only good for practicing basic skills.

We are talking about the bomb’s killing zone
Those factor deal no effect if you drop bomb onto enemy tank

Enough to show 60kg bomb can kill a tank

Pretty sure someone thinks they need it…

oh yeah - this guy who can’t kill tanks …

I guarantee I’m better than you lil bro :joy:

Fun fact, all you need to do to survive getting hit with a small caliber bomb is simply move after being hit. This nullifies the skill of the pilot entirely all because you were able to press one key on your keyboard or hold down on a joystick. Hitting a stationary target isn’t hard

Than you can predicting the tank’s direction or drop bomb much earlier to make instant bomb if you are really super “skillful”. Otherwise , get a larger bomb.

Popping Shermans with 2x60kg bombs in the Pacific is my favourite passtime.

Though yes, Valkay is still correct…

Ps to @Valkay: I’ll send a link to the next pacific game I have, if you want. It’s not easy bombing Shermans with only 60kg bombs, but by God is it satisfying. Hardest part is dodging AA fire after I’ve destroyed a couple of tanks already and dunked on their retaliating air-spawns (because I am still flying a Zero), American players can be very petty.

I think theres already enough of ways to make tankers life quite miserable, much more than there is against rather constant air spam.

So, no.
