give this APC a chance to defend itself from close enemies encouters on high places and opportunity to scare off planes flying low just like the other factions premium APC.
also change the drum mag into a belt feed to increase weapon effectiveness.
while the other faction’s Premium APC can become a alternative AA but the Sdkfz251/1 cannot.

From leaked preview footage we can already see: operating the machine‑gun mounted on the gun mantlet does not have to rely permanently on its mounting bracket.
This roof‑mounted machine‑gun is capable of elevating well over 60 degrees.
I have watched wartime footage from 1944 showing German columns travelling along roads. It clearly shows the MG on the Sd.Kfz. 251 being freely operated without the bracket.
That kind of gun mount belongs to early variants. There exists another later‑pattern mount with higher elevation angles and better protection
