Since american dont have ar and the 50 tomp is shit. Can we buff the 50 tomp? Just reduce the spread and recoil to 100 tomp or 21/28 level.

americans have m2 which is like an AR.

SMGs should stay SMGs, but there are a few guns we could add that could be a substitute.
M1944 Hyde Carbine
Only problem that it’s chambered in 30. so it won’t have as good hit power as StG44, but it had 600-1200 so it could be balanced with higher firepower and quicker reloads like Kiraly39M.
Reider automatic rifle
South African Lee-Enfield modification, chambered in 303. British, 30 round magazine and decent damage.
Also M2 Carbine could become available to assaulters.

it is chambered same as m2 carbine, so 8.8 damage vs 9.6 damage of stg. both need 2 hits to kill so really doesnt matter.

well 8mm kurz does have better bullet velocity than .30 carbine so the stg44 is a bit better at medium range
The Lanchester 50 in the current event is the best SMG for the US/UK allies period. I got 4 the last time they were available and they are better then the 50 round drum Thompson and every other SMG, even at BR V they mow down squads very accurately and with a large ammo pouch you can lay down endless lead with 250 extra rounds. Last event the choice was between the Lanchester 50 and the German PPSH with the 30 round mag, which is less useful for the Germans who already have decent SMGs.
Or add another 100 drum Tompson.

They are (used to)! M2a1, was a gold order one. I still use them… but in truth regular m2 is better as it received the camera and muzzle flash fix, but not the regular m2…
A bit higher rof though.
There’s no reason why Assaulters are excluded from using M2 carbine, since currently m2 carbine is the best US “assault” tech tree weapon.
And it is not definitely a classic SF rifle.
Btw. What I really hate about Thompsons is slow bullet speed. And that’s what makes those weapons insufferable for me.
Small buff in this field would definitely help, but I don’t know how much realistic it would be. I am not an Thompson expert.
i somewhat agree, Like its worse than the BRIII thompsons but has 20 extra ammo. Deserves at least some debuf to recoil.
