Bring back the Panther F from "Battle of Berlin"

Since the Enlisted developers seem to be keen on introducing rare prototypes, rare variants and even post WW2 weapons system that saw little or even no use in WW2 I would rather see at least something interesting and useful added instead that all players can enjoy and which actually would add something to the game.

I would like to see the Developers bring back the “Panther F” that was part of the pre-release “Battle of Berlin” campaign. It was sadly removed from that campaign and few players got to enjoy using it and facing it.

Some images of what is still in Enlisted, but currently not available to the players and thus what has been lost to the players, but what yet still be added back in by the developers:

The Panther F has at least some real world justification, which can not be said for many other things recently added to Enlisted.

You should turn this topic into a proper suggestion with a poll instead of mess room

Sometimes I think for some suggestions there shouldn’t even be polls. It’s like imagine if a “majority” didn’t want the SU-122 or any other sort of vehicle.

I think pretty much all WW2 vehicles should be in game, what kind of person wouldn’t!

Yes, that’s right. There are indeed some forgotten and neglected vehicles from the old historical campaign versions that need to be brought back for release.

You sure? That would include the jadgtiger too you know

If someone wants to do that then they can use this topic for it.

As for voting on anything: if voting could make a difference, it would have been outlawed a long time ago.

I am fairly sure that if the addition of Jet Bombers would have been put to a vote that the majority would have voted against it. And there are more examples like that in Enlisted (Russian “body armour” stopping firearm rounds in a 360 degree radius).

For my part I hope the Developers will take note and add back into Enlisted that which already exists in Enlisted but which was removed like in this example.

Why exactly wouldn’t you want it!?!

See. Jets were used in WW2 but all it would take is a bunch of plebs to completely block them because it scares them.

I want it but people dont that what im saying. And their reason is the nightmare of balancing.

I believe there is always a counter to everything. I’m not going to research through the Allies and Soviet arsenals right now (I’m talking about their real life arsenals like vehicles not in game) but I’m sure there is something.

Also Guerillas, Saboteur, and especially planes are sometimes the best counter to vehicles.

The only German Me 262 that was used in ground attacks against enemy troops was the Me 262 A2a and we do not have that in game.

The German Me 262 A1a was used in combat against enemy 4-engine heavy bombers and their escorting enemy fighters, we do not have them in-game either.

The 5 cm armed German Me 262 was not used in ground combat or even against enemy fighters, it was intended to combat enemy 4-engine heavy bombers, which we do not have in-game either. A 5 cm armed Me 262 is useless in ground combat and against enemy fighters, and it also is exactly that in Enlisted.

The German Ar 234 jet bomber was used in ground attacks but only against rail centers, bridges etc. not against enemy ground troops.

The German He 162 only saw limited front-line service and its purported only use was against enemy bomber escort fighters.

The German Me 163 was only useful to combat, and thus used to combat enemy 4-engine heavy bombers, which we do not have in-game either.

As for the British Meteor, no it was not used in ground combat and not even in fighter versus fighter combat because it had mediocre performance. If I remember correctly it was used against the V1 cruise missile, another weapon system that has no place in Enlisted and which thankfully is currently not in Enlisted.

The USA P-80 was also not used in combat because it too had mediocre performance and was unreliable, if I remember correctly only two were in Europe in WW2 and they too were not used in combat.

Russia did not developed and build jet aircraft during WW2, but of course it gets superior performance post WW2 jet aircraft in Enlisted with purloined German technology.

To my knowledge Japan as well never fielded any jet aircraft in combat in WW2, even though the German government supplied them the technology for it.

So no, jet aircraft have no place in a tactical combat game like Enlisted. The only jet aircraft which could be justified to be in Enlisted is the Me 262 A2a but this dedicated ground attack version is funnily enough not available in Enlisted.

The German jets were the only jets that saw any active service at all during WW2, but frankly that’s good enough. Jets were the ultimate evolution of planes during the war. The only thing that matters is if something was made or developed during and for the war. So yes even that jet that was made during the war but was sitting under a tarp before it could actually be used counts too. This game has everything from standard issue to rare to prototypes.

This is a combined arms game, that means infantry, vehicles, and planes.

If we started really nitpicking then most of Japan’s vehicles would be removed from the game because they were never used in active service and were sitting in Japan. Thus the ultimate point stands as long as it is from the war.

That is why I play BR 3 to avoid the silly things like the Japanese tech tree at BR 4 and 5.

Jets that never participated in or supported ground combat WW2 have no place in Enlisted, they are clearly bad for game play with their superior speed and bomb loads, and all of the current ones in Enlisted are not authentic. The Me 262 A1a was the fighter version, not the fighter-bomber version and the other ones were never used or did not even exist during WW2.

The slower propeller engine aircraft in Enlisted cannot really counter the jets and the Flak also cannot counter them.

The ONLY jet aircraft that could justifiably be allowed in a game like Enlisted is the actual fighter-bomber version Me 262 A2a but that one is NOT in Enlisted currently.

Brass Rain will be released and that game will focus on supplying authentic equipment to the players for an authentic WW2 experience. If the Enlisted Developers want to keep the players that are interested in having an authentic WW2 equipment experience then they better implement changes to at least let BR 3 supply authentic WW2 equipment to the players which was produced and used in huge numbers by the actual front-line combat troops in WW2.

If Brass Rain offers the better WW2 experience in terms of authenticity then I will not be the only one to abandon Enlisted with its increasingly fantasy line up.

Fewer players in Enlisted is not good for the future of Enlisted.
