Remember when they announced around 3 years ago in a devblog that they were adding famous WWII generals portrait as reward reaching Field Marshall and suddenly, Erwin Rommel and Isoroku Yamamoto portrait got “memory holed” after few hours of the post going up, and only can be retrieved through Wayback Machine? Because I do.
I suggest that DF (re)adding these figures because the lack of Axis representation in the Field Marshall portrait kind of disrespecting. For years, we were stuck with the same faces from the Allies and but adding these Axis figures would be the first step.
I am split on this as the Marshal award irritates me and I post often about it. On one hand, ALL top brass should be included for every faction with the exception of the madmen and war criminals. The other hand that after playing so much to win the rank you only get temporary use of the portraits and that is not good. I think for the achievement you should get to pick one portrait to keep from a much broader pool so you can collect them. You should ALSO get like 25,000 silver or choice of an old GO weapon. I keep getting Marshal and racked up almost 300 days of temporary use of the portraits that I don’t use…not a fitting reward to encourage people to play IMO.
Because it just makes sense. Why have Patton or Zhukov if we cannot have someone to represent axis powers as well? I still believe that profile pics are kinda lame reward for reaching marshall and we should get something better like gold or a unique squad
