There are many old legacy squads from the old campaigns, with a total of 186. The probpem many players face now is there not being enough types of a squad if they want to make a preset for each BR since there are only 3 assaulter and machine gunner squads in each TT, clearly not enough for 5 BRs worth of different equipment. Vehicles also have this issue, where each squad has vehicles with different BRs and you have to constantly change what’s being used. Being allowed to purchase legacy squads would solve these problems by letting there be enough squads avaliable to someone to let each have a dedicated BR instead of having to changed what is equipped every time you switch what BR you play.
Should legacy squads be added to the shop and be purchaseable with silver?
I have both of them, they’re nice when I want to do an italian themed RP game for vibes (which is why Im assuming you want them) but all their tanks are BR 1 and of those only the semovente can compete with other br 1 tanks…and only barely
Im just saying idk why theres only 3, well 1 tank, a tank destroyer and an armored car…maybe italy will get some love if they ever add the Italian Campaign…
In addition to the BR preset, there are also historical reasons. I wanted to play the Battle of Berlin, but there are no more Deutscher Volkssturm squads.
Returning legacy squads would be one of the best possible things gaijinflow could do to improve the game. Even if they monkey’s paw it and turn it into a loot crate, people would be happy and sales of squad slots would be made.
Agreed, something a vast majority of the forum have been calling for for quite some time. And to be honest, if Gaijin had anyone with vision and business sense they would have been offered up as premium legacy squads A LONG TIME AGO!
I posted about this before…post-merge merge players are at a SEVERE disadvantage as pre-merge perge players can run multiple top tier squads and vehicles in their lineups. Post-merge merge players should have the same options.
Unless you’re a pre merge dumbass like me who sold off his squads for silver. If I had it to do over, I would have never sold off all my old squads. However, IMOP it really makes no sense why Gaijin wouldn’t at least sell them back as it makes them money . I would love to see them back for free, but I seriously doubt if Gaijin ever re released them it would be for free. Hell, we can’t even get them to release them for money when people are begging for them. Just not a lot of common sense sitting in Gaijin’s decision making positions IMOP.
