BRENs cyclic rates sources

Finding original WW2 data on BRENs is a major pain - buggers keep listing ‘practical’ fire rates aka desired rates for gunners to shoot at.

Fortunately, I’ve managed to get a post war source from Brits.

(Enlisted would have 550 rpm for Mk I and 594 for Mk II.)

Wonder where were 480 base RPM from both BREN mk I and II were taken from for this game.

I have a question

Would this mean buffing or nerfing either versions?

I ask because M1919A6’s RoF was found to be innacurate, that its real RoF wasn’t 500 rpm like the M1919A4 and it was 550 rpm, but the changes were made to its base RoF and now it is 610 upgraded, so what would it be like for these weapons?

Well if we follow the document listed this would be the in game value if it’s implemented

Mk 1 Base RoF - > 500 - > Upgrade 10% RoF - > 550
Mk 2 Base RoF - > 540 → Upgrade 10% RoF - > 590 (After rounding)

Bren gun supremacy, hehehe. :uk: :uk: :uk: :uk:

Would also give people a reason for using the Mk II - the Mk I is smother shooting, with moderately better dispersion, while the Mk II would have slightly higher RoF.

As opposed to the Mk I just being better, as things are now. And the best part - the stat differences wouldn’t be arbitrary either; well supported RoF differences, with a minor handling difference in favour of the earlier more expensive manufacture version.
