Type 4
Japan needs a lot among that a br3 semi auto sniper rifle given that the type four is an M1 garand clone with scope mounts. The G41 is infinitely more desirable over moving the G43 and G43 sniper scope. Adding a side scope would make it a great br 3 sniper.

The Type 4 sniper seems to have been created by later generations. I specifically searched for Japanese websites, but unfortunately, there is no description of this weapon appearing in “history”, and there is even no such plan

just tested the 41 w and no the scope does not block the stripper clips
