Enlisted BR0: The Great War Expansion SummaryPitch: Transitioning Enlisted into a 1914–1918 experience that prioritizes tactical patience, mechanical realism, and specialized roles over automatic firepower.1. Core Gameplay PhilosophyThe “Grit” System: High-performance rifles (like the Austro-Hungarian M1895) fire rapidly but are sensitive to dirt. Crawling in mud increases a “Grit Meter,” leading to a “Grit Jam” that requires a manual cleaning animation.Manual Skill-Gap: Weapons like the Japanese Type 10 Mortar require manual distance dialing on a physical brass scale rather than map-clicking.Automatic Rarity: SMGs like the MP 18 or Villar Perosa are restricted to single “Elite” Squad Leaders per team to maintain the bolt-action atmosphere.2. Faction SpecialisationsGermany: Focused on Infiltration. “Stormtrooper” squads spawn 20 seconds early to clear paths before the main wave.Britain: Focused on Suppression. Uses Lewis Guns and fast-cycling SMLE rifles to create “Iron Line” defensive zones.Italy: Focused on Verticality. Alpini use climbing ropes to attack from ridges, while Arditi cut silent paths through wire, creating team-wide “Blue Icon” shortcuts on the minimap.Austria-Hungary: Focused on Defensive Precision. Uses “Straight-Pull” bolts for high volume-of-fire and deployable Steel Sniper Shields.Ottoman Empire: Focused on Endurance. Uses “Spider Hole” hidden traps and Camels (high HP “Mobile Sniper Towers”) that thrive in desert heat.Russia: Focused on Mobility. Uses Cavalry and Tachankas (MG carts) for open-field flanking. The Osovets squad features high pain resistance in gas.3. Landship Mechanics (Tanks)Mark IV (UK): A slow, diamond-shaped wire-crusher with side-mounted guns.A7V (Germany): A mobile fortress holding a full squad but prone to flipping on rough terrain.Renault FT (France): The first turreted tank, agile but vulnerable to the German T-Gewehr anti-tank rifle.4. Map & Environmental InnovationsThe Mine War: Engineers can “drill” tunnels to trigger massive, map-altering explosions.Ice Ricochets: In Alpine glacier tunnels, bullets bounce off frozen walls for tactical "trick shots."Gas Warfare: Nation-specific masks (e.g., British Box Respirator) are essential for survival but limit visibility and stamina.

Welcome to the community!

The formatting of your poll is incorrect. You need to lose the fullstop after [/poll]

Also, it may not work to you being a new user here. This is an automatic thing, so nothing we can do. However, stick around a while, reply to some other threads and be active, and those restrictions will be lifted.

Finally, it’d be helpful to put some line breaks into your text to avoid whole walls of it.

If the poll isn’t fixed soon, the thread will be closed off, just so you know.

If you need any further help, feel free to PM me.

Thank you for the advice

this sounds cool, but your post would firstly benefit from a bit of structure. Like paragraphs, bullet points etc

Also, this might be better as an event as Enlisted in a WW2 shooter, and this suggestion would be better positioned for success if it argued for that

Bro, in a game like enlisted automatic guns would still reign supreme in a ww1 setting. There’s a plethora of them in service then

If you did not notice yet, submachine guns from Great War that are already present in the game such as MP-18 have terrible recoil and they are almost unusable unless enemy stands 5 meters infront of you. So yeah, if Enlisted ever added BR 0, rifles would reign supreme.

If this was true br1 wouldn’t be dominated by smgs. I own the entire lobby using br1 smgs and they are nothing special.

Mp18 was fixed a long time ago. It feels quite nice to use. In case you haven’t noticed, most automatic guns in the game feel good to use. This theoretical “bad recoil” doesn’t exist. Meanwhile, we have lots of ww1 weapons in game, of which all the automatics are really good. Lewis machine gun, lewis rifle, BAR, federov AR. How can you honestly think bolt actions will dominate matches? The federov is an effing br5 gun but still ww1.

BR 1 SMGS are not WWI SMGS but ok lmao

That’s hasn’t been true for 2 years. Mp18 is very controllable since it got buffed

We can probably do this:

Either do the mg runner thing for br0 (not allowing ppl to use smgs) or place smgs on the map that ppl must pick before

Or

Limiting the number of assulters to 2 on that gamemode/br
