I am still being tossed into matches with Players on my side and the other team with BR that are IV and V even though I am Just a BR II, and yes I set all my country’s Teams to BR II because apparently the game can’t figure that out , or so I was told.
Presumably I am not alone in this?
For the most part, I haven’t had that happen. I did get put into Berlin with just K98s and PzB-38s. It was awful because I set up to do anti-tank work and then I’m facing end-war tanks with a prewar anti-tank rifle.
Yep, Just started the game up again after over a year ignoring it, get in, and it’s my Infantry squad, still armed with starter bolt action rifles, against Tigers, Panzerweffers, STG44s, Panzerfausts, my sniper is still the stock sniper, as is my T-26, only my assault troopers are “Better” in that they are armed with PPS-42s.
PPS-42s should be tier 2, if that was the best thing then you definitely got put into the wrong match lineup
Check your load outs carefully then, the current split is 1-3 and 3-5.
So unless you have BR IV+ gear you should not be getting into higher level maps.
As a hint, check your Gold Order weapons that you may have “parked” on your pilots or tank crews. I’ve found a few of those culprits dragging my lower BR set ups into higher games.

I have a strict BR II layout, yes I’m entirely sure. Yet I got to see a T 34-85 D-5T yesterday. So the system is apperently not infallible yet.
I had tigers is moscow somehow the other day.
For all intensive purposes it was a BR 2 game…with 1 guy spamming tigers.
I didnt realise until late in the game though because he was getting deleted by paras lol
