Currently, using BR4 equipment is quite unbalanced because matchmaking leads to BR4-5. There have already been suggestions to add high-capacity semi-automatics and improve their damage, as there are options for this. Another idea would be to add more equipment to BR5 and separate it completely from the others.
Respectfully boss, its not in suggestions category so technically its not even a suggestion.

BR 4 is a joke. Why would anyone play it? You are going to get raped by 5 and hardly anyone plays 3 when facing 4. Its like BR5 for special needs people. 1,2,3 5. 1-5 are the bookends, 2 is easy for new people and a slower pace, 3 is where all the good weapons are at for all the factions. 4 is that underpowered research portion of the tree.

I wouldn’t even say that BR 4 alone is underpowered. Most weapons are a nice step up from their BR3 equivalent and at a good balance level, it’s just that BR5 isn’t a step up it’s an olympic level jump and BR4 suffers as a result.
Currently, Japan is doing even worse in that regard. The only BR4 machine guns they have are one with a 30-round capacity and another that is too cumbersome to use in close combat. The only SMG they have in BR4 may have a good magazine, but with the damage it inflicts, it’s a joke.
The only thing you can do, more or less, is spam grenades with rifles; the BR4’s semi-automatics have really poor performance, and against automatic rifles and SMGs with mid-calibers, it’s simply a massacre.
First of all, me personally wouldn’t have enough BR4 equipment to actually play BR4 if it were a separate BR level 
. As it is now, if I have just ONE BR4 weapon, then I am almost always playing BR5. I rarely if ever get into a BR3 match. SO, there is no BR4 until we get a real 0/0 matchmaking, then more weapons would have to be allotted to BR4, otherwise you are playing with majority BR3 weapons and a few BR4.
I won’t use a BR4 weapon unless it can hold it’s own in BR5 because that is where it’s going to most often be used.
