I’m just posting this in deep reflection of the Br 5 guy. Br 4 tends go to Br 5. Br 2 tends to go to Br 3 , somewhat less, but it all illuminates a disaster.

I actually consider BR V to be the distaster. All it is is just HE and full auto spam. There’s no way a WWII shooter should have 9-man squads of full auto rifles like it’s the modern day. I feel select-fires have their place, but it should be limited to 3-4 in a rifleman squad and 1-2 in any other squad, sort of like how MGs and Assaulters work in squads.

Next you’ll be suggesting historical squads, limited rare weapons, no prototype weapons that were not actually used, and all sorts of other extremist ideas - it’s a slippery slope once you want an “actual WW2 experience” and not Enlistedhammer!!
Sure, that would be nice. But no, it’s too late for that. What I’m proposing is a cap on auto rifles, like any other specialist weapon, so that BR IV is better balanced against BR V, at least in the infantry arms area.
I’m not saying you still can’t use your Hyde and Type Hei.

Oddly BR4 used to be good before +1/-1 matchmaking
I thought that stricter limits in MM would help BR4 even further but opposite happened, now 95% of BR 4 games are all uptiers sadly.
Simply more Br3 players are avail so in order to fill the Br5 lobby Br4 gets " enlisted"
Sad state of affairs since power level jumps massively from BR 4 to 5 , mostly thanks to auto battle rifles.
BR4 could be its own thing if ±0 MM happens, until then its tears

Thats an issue with rifleman squad type, not battle rifles per say.
Even restricting these to a rifleman only squad doesnt change things, ppl will simply run rifleman only 9 stacks
At the end of the day BR5 is a 1946 type scenario, and has enough of a playerbase that enjoys the sweat fest
I dont like the BR meta either, but it looks to stay

I’m not sure how that would change anything. It would just harm those who don’t use those 3 squads more. My idea was that they would work like MGs/Assaulters, so that only 3 in their own dedicated squad and 1 in another squad. The catch would be that you could still get Assaulters and MGs along with them, although you could limit it too so that you have to pick one or the other in the upgrade tree.
3 Automatic rifles + one SMG/AR or MG is a big difference to 9 Automatic rifles. Plus, you can’t run them like that in another squad. I’d say that it changes things a lot, since the meta changes from spamming one weapon to using a variety to get the job done (like the previous 4 BRs).
As long as they split BR IV from BR V, I will be happy, since true Enlisted / WWII would be BR IV and below, and prototype / limited use weaponry can stay BR V. But the reason why I proposed this is because I heard from the helpers directly, they have no interest in splitting the two.
