I was wondering if there was any thought of putting a BR 1 LMG on the TT.
I present to you a 20 round bren lmg:

If we can have SMGs on BR1, why can’t we have MGs?
Also might be worth lowering the br of the breda mod 30
I like that br1 is devoid of lmgs. If they added them for br1, they would have to be some pretty mediocre guns. I think the good example of a br1 lmg that we have currently in the game in the Chauchat.
I know I am asking, due to me trying to max out the exp of my troops.
There is the MG gunner spot on the squad that is filled by a rifleman, but I know the UK used the Lewis at the beginning until they changed over to the Bren.
Also I know that the Germ. used a MG 34 on bipod as the squad LMG for most of the war.
Note I am not advocating for downgrading those MG’s, I am just asking if there were plans to put in a LMG for BR 1
Don’t think it’s necessary
If they added BR1 LMGs they would have to move the location of machine gunners squad unlock. With the way they have the game balanced I don’t think they want to do that. I do agree that some LMGs are so mediocre that BR2 is too high for them But that’s when they need it buffed. Even if it’s just a little less accuracy with history, give it less vertical / horizontal recoil, reload speed, etc. It doesn’t have to be an amount to make it stupidly broken just enough to make it the bare minimum to pass for BR2.
It’s sad too because some weapons can’t even meet the bar set by BR2 LMG’s when all BR2 LMGs are garbage by design. Making it so getting BR3 feels like a upgrade. That’s leaving those underperforming weapons falling short like they should become BR1.
I chalk it up too poor thought behind performance and balance compared to other items.
That just sounds pointless. BR1 and BR2 are practically identical and all the weapons that far up the tech tree aren’t even that hard to unlock, exp wise.
And yet it’s a BR2 gun

It shoots so slow that new player with unupgraded K98k can shoot two times before i will kill him. But it’s still fun change of pace compared to having always superior guns over Germans.
