Bombs need to be nerfed/fixed

The bombs that are dropped from planes need to be nerfed because they are just too devastating, I will be inside the basement of a bunker or building and still die even though there are several different layers of concrete between me and the outside. The destruction is simply too great at times, it seems unfair. In addition there is also a delay of several seconds (about 5 seconds) between when a bomb touches the ground and when it detonates which just doesn’t seem right.

delayed fuses in bombs are a real thing. Some had much longer fuses, think 30 minutes, hours.

Planes do need nerfing though. @LegoProdigy get mad dude.

I’d join @32883447 's previous posts, it would be better to fix explosion calculations instead of just reducing damage. Especially if reducing damage would reduce tank HE shot damage as well, because that feels good.
In closed building especially bunkers, you should be safe until they make those buildings demolishable I think. Next to windows… well the windows stop shots already if closed.

…maybe until proper implementation just set up zones inside buildings with fixed bomb effect reduction values, and internal part of a bunker would protect 100%. This would not take into consideration a tank that is stopped in front of the only window, or sandbags or whatever. Maybe it’s already so because apparently we don’t always die as badly as we would in an open field, but then it is not very well communicated in-game.

it is just really difficult to balance planes in these type of games, either they are OP or useless…

In fact, bombers still need to improve a lot!

I don’t know if anyone noticed this, but when the bomb drops and you and your squad are far from the bomb’s target, but still some soldiers in your squad die, and it’s never a soldier that dies, it’s always an engineer, radio etc.

It seems to me that bomb kills are random, out of “reach” only to cause more bomb kills.

I’ve noticed this about 3x, when I was with my radio squad, the 3 soldiers were alive (0 damage) but the only one that dies is the radio or engineer etc, even if they are in the same area (can be covered or not) .

…sorry for my English

Maybe their current health also plays a role in it. Several times you just get downed if not too near to the bomb, and can use a medkit to recover. Now if a heavily wounded soldier like with 30% health gets the same hit, then for him… that battle passed.
Haven’t noticed it so just theory.

What if we accidentally kissed in the red zone of an artillery barage? :flushed:  :point_right: :point_left:

What would you do if we did this? OWO

i would call in fireworks and then make it a threesome :3

But the squad is new, I spawned with the squad 100% health, and when they drop the bomb there in the middle of the map, only my “useful soldiers” drop, the rest of my squad doesn’t take 1% damage.

It might be crazy on my part, but I’ve figured it out about 3x.

Or do soldiers also die only from had shake?

Bomber spam really is a critical issue with the game. I honestly don’t care about the Berlin campaign or any new content, while the game can be incredibly frustrating to play.

Playing invasion and frequently having several squads wiped at once becomes a farce very quickly.

It’s made so much worse by people either not building spawn points, or them being destroyed by bomber/arty spam.

If this isn’t addressed in their next big update then they’ve failed really badly.

I have observed the same, and not just with bombs. I have only one theory so far:
Good old confirmation bias. I simply don’t notice, when my specialists do survive, because my mind is preoccupied by other things and I only take notice, when I need something and it isn’t there. Maybe.
Now, that someone else brought it up and I know I’m not the only one who has observed this, I shall pay better attention in the future and always inspect my casualties after every bomb or other big explosion and not just when I happen to need a certain specialist.

Edit: This was supposed to be a reply to @83101604

my spawn points get destroyed by arty or plane spam so frequently I have stopped bothering to build them.

After playing for a while now, I often place my rally points in more unusual locations, that don’t get bombed so much. If I put it in a house close to the objective, that is an obvious target for planes and arty. Hiding it behind some bushes, a wreck, a hill or some other inconspicuous place slightly farther away from combat is the way to go in many cases. The walk to the objective will be a bit longer this way, but I can still set up some nice flanks and my rally points tend to stay up. Of course this works better on some maps than others.

I’d rather see them useless or removed than what we have now.

You realize in in real life and Battlefield Bombs will destroy Buildings right? You should never be safe inside buildings, yet this game let ppl think its a safe heaven.

Artillery does need a nerf though
