Bombers dominating games

Currently it feels like there’s a big problem with bombers being overpowered. Because there’s such a huge delay on squads being available for battle after dying, a bomber can just wipe out the few people actually trying to build AA, then have clear skies to bomb all they want in.
And holy crap the bombs they can get are ridiculous. Killing a dozen people by just flying over then escaping is so frustrating.
Sure there’s fighters which can deal with them easy, but if a team has a good bomber that turns the tide of the match alone, then enemies are free to build their own AA and shoot down any fighters. Plus because bombers are just dropping bombs then flying back to base over and over, it can be a pain to even spot them as a fighter.

Maybe we need something like a limit to how much aircraft can resupply their bombs/rockets?
Or do it like War Thunder and put them on a (significant) timer so there’s more of a chance that people will stick around the battlefield and be a more obvious target (since there wouldn’t be a requirement to fly away)

I v seen those 50 kg bombs kill dozens of people yes i m pretty sure that the radious has to be lowered or something

At the very minimum, restrict them from spawning at the start of the match.
Now that doesnt solve the problem with CAS targeting spawns, so that must be solved by building AA or preferably setting up multiple portable spawns so the team isn’t wiped after a single run.
The problem with this however, is that it requires players to actually place those spawns and that is extremly unreliable expectation.

I think bomber planes(Attacker) was good ballanced. You cant repair your plane when damaged like in Battlefield. Refill ammo and bombs cost you some time because its far away from battlefield.

What I dont like on planes is:

  • damage model(little damage, plane flying very bad)
  • some planes have bad visible trought windshield and P-38 gunsight not visible too good
  • only mouse or keybord? Why not Joystick?

planes are definitely unbalanced, at this point its exceptional if you DONT lose half your team to a dude able to first spawn in his german CAS plane with wirferakete…

you know what is better than a bf110 or a-20 going to a rearm point just go kill around 20 people without trying? it’s called implementing an airfield, that way it forces people to land. the two outcomes are the pilot fails the landing and dies, or they successfully land they need time to rearm and take off which is more time consuming then just flying to a rearm point

Each engineer can Build 2 aa. One good hit from aa on a plane will take it down or will it eventually fall out of the sky because of the bad damage model on planes…

There can only be 1 ground attacker in the air at any time. You can build and man countless AA which also absolutely slaughters infantry. Not to mention small arms fire can take planes down.

Planes have next to no visibility of what they are attacking. You are either marked by their team or they are blind dropping on you.

Its easy to say planes and or tanks are domination games. But when only 1 in 10 players throws dynamite at tank, or builds an AA gun. you got bigger problems

Yes let me just build an AA turret, find the coming plane and shoot it before it wipes the team at the very start of the match

There can be 2 a/c in the air - at least 1 attacker/bomber and 1 fighter - and the fighters all have bombs now so it’s effectively 2 attackers

Yeah AA is a cheap counter - it’s not flash, but it is reasonably effective since it costs nothing.

no problems with making planes unavailable for the first minute of the game. Or you know, you could spawn and scatter left and right instead of bee-lining straight to the closest point where you know a plane is gonna drop…

i dont have problem to fight planes as a engineer. I hide and once plane fly thru, before it turns i build AA and shoot it down, easy…

A fighter can get some kills, but its hardly on par with the attacker and little cause for concern

At least one of the 109’s carries a 250kg bomb - same as the first Stuka, and the 6 rockets on the 153 are much more dangerous than the P-38 rockets and can wipe a couple of squads if htey are clumped up at spawn too.

Implementing airfield is logical step for plane repair(+refill ammo). But I think forced planes to refill ammo on Airfield is bad idea. Its not fun and useless. Refill ammo in air is fine. Because situation now is when player use plane he cant use squads of infantry or tank. So in specific modes like US in Invasion is plane not good idea. But for GE is good in this mode because defending.

I fly a bit and u know what, planes are now easy AF to shoot down, little dmg and they are uncontrollable and falling from the sky even on yellow damage to one irrelevant part. I shoot down planes with mp38 and Mauser… Hell bots are even sometimes shooting to planes, soo no, they are not op and dominating, they just need some attention and not ignoring them and then crying that u died cuz of strafing run.
And yes, bombs needs tweaking in dmg radius 50kg are to strong and 250 is to weak
