im BR3, i used the G41 as Germany for quite sometime, til for a while i decided to try out the BR1 Kar98k, im not having any difficulties til now with using bolt actions even at BR3, i know they are not the best weapon by this BR standards, but compared to the G41 its a one shot one kill, i wanted some more opnions, til when do you guys consider a bolt action effective in the BR system?

Well BR2 SMGs and some semis already hurt bolt action rifles because they overperform, but gameplay shifts in higher BRs towards medium range combat, which is where bolt actions “in the right hands” can shine again.
I sometimes bring VG2 into BR5 matches- just for fun, and I sometimes still end up at the top of the score board.
simple. the range of combat determines what weapons permorfms best.
Rifles - long range - ARs mid range and close range it’s SMGs.
So depending on map layout, caps routes there, nad ur playstyle. if ur a mindless chicken just running straight to cap, pray n spray, then SMGs will always be best.

like me for instance my Squads are equipped so that they excel at different scenarios and thereafter I choose what Squad, and usually I have atleast 1 guy for each scenario in the Squad, then just learn to switch efficiently between them, and learn to stay at effective range
Often bolt actions are good even at BR 3 and even higher if the map works with them. Personally I like dual wielding a stock bolty as a secondary can be a good choice (eg Japanese assaulter with a Sig 1920 and the Arisaka carbine is a good pair).
When it has a grenade launcher attached.

I usually consider any bolt action with a ROF above 60 (base) competitive with semi autos. That is, of course, if you have pretty good accuracy. Otherwise, spraying or shooting bursts from a semi auto wil probably still be more effective. I used to use Winchester M1895 a lot before I got used to the idea of how semi autos shot and I would consistently get top 3 in the leaderboard for kills.

i still use the BR1 Kar98k (fully upgraded of course, i dont use any non full upgrade weapons) and its performing best for me than the G41 was, yes its a bolt action, but i use my bots a lot and they get quite good kills with a boltie, and the G41 doesnt really offer anything substantial, for semis in germany i would just jump straight to the G43, since they dont really offer anything substantial enough in BR3 compared to other nations.

I’m the opposite. I actually find the G43 sights worse for me than the G41 sights. Besides, I like the fact that the G41 has a bayonet like the other BR III semi autos (plus bayonets dampen recoil by 5% or so). The stripper reload doesn’t really faze me much, since I’m fairly certain they even cut the time a little (and if you sacrifice 1 vertical recoil for reload speed it’s pretty good).
I have bolties on radio and GL bolties on rifles as secondaries on BR4. Once in a while they do a lot of work as makeshift snipers.
