Body armor issue - a revisit

Id guess the servers we have here are quite far from competive servers which only highlights the issue even further as some of your shots might not even register.

Except quite many has faced the situation that they died in situation where the enemy wielding teenagemutantninjaturtle armor should have died but survived.

so one of these requires either an entire server rehaul, or engine full update, and the other requires changing a single value. Nice whataboutisms tho

In fact, as you can see, the bugs of these two have been advanced and fixed at present. The latency of the game itself comes from the Global illumination algorithm quality option in the Graphics TAB. Previously, when it was set to 0, the latency was significantly lower. The server latency was fixed after the bug feedback, although these two bugs had existed for three years.But this time they fixed it instantly

So I want to say, many gameplay mechanics and operations haven’t been advanced and improved. Why are you pushing forward some half-dead values for this game

Cool. It’s literally impossible for them to be easier to fix than body armor as it’s a single character change

Such a basic thing,gaijin still knows it needs to be changed. I think gaijin doesn’t follow the forum’s suggestions partly because he can’t make a decision

because something else is broken nothing should be fixed ? ? ? ?

They could make it so that body armor only protects against pistol caliber and shrapnel. At least that would make more sense amd would affect gameplay less

I find it slightly ironic that in different topic we are concerned about well being of BR4 noobs.
And here we are suggesting that every faction gets this sealclub crutch.

  1. Cosmetics should apply no effects upon gameplay.

  2. I don’t want to fight every battle against turtles, that’s very jarring.

  3. It’d still be a peice of gear that magically works against things it has no business stopping, and protecting areas it has no business protecting. They would still do so with zero downsides, with hidden buffs, and they’d still take up no equipment slot unlike every single other peice of gear in game.

I’d rather the status quo remains, as is, than every faction just getting their own body armour at that point…

This is also a very good line of thinking. Maybe the Soviet armor “cosmetics” should block the backpack slot.

You know how there is a backpack item you can equip, but you can also just buy a cosmetic that has one included…? The cosmetic backpack has no effect, only one equiped in the backpack slot will have effects.

I’d like this to be the case for body armour as well. Having the option to equip one cosmetically, or equip one with effects.

I think body armour looks cool, I’d like to give them to my British Engineers (once they’re a thing, both the return of legacy squads and adding of British body armour), but frankly I can’t live without my backpack slot…

I have thoughts on how a body armour item would work too, and I’ve promised to write a suggestion about it once it becomes relevant.
