When AI will get better (it’s a matter of a time frankly) some players may decide to quickly change soldiers in a gunfight to gain cheeky advantage over the other player. To some extend it’s possible even now but I think that in the future it will be a real problem.
So how about this: if a squad is under fire, you have to wait for example 5s before changing to the next soldier.
Of course I’m trying to solve a problem that doesn’t exist yet and maybe won’t exist at all. It’s idea for future, better safe than sorry.
More extreme idea: if we get suppression mechanic, player will be completely unable to change soldiers if he is suppressed.
This is literally the mechanic that drew me to Enlisted, saw someone do it in a video and it looked hilarious. Personally I think its a part of the appeal to the game in general.
Also, you do get punished if you just suicide your squad one by one just for a single kill.
Custom lobbies are coming so I guess it would be possible to remove it if you wish.
Imo it’s too cheasy and too immersion breaking.
I don’t understnad what do you mean here.
Tickets and time, the two most valuble resources in this game.
Ok, but how do you loose them by switching soldiers? Maybe you loose time a bit but you gain confused enemy so it’s more like a tradeoff.
And you said sth about suiciding that I haven’t said anything about.
I find that being mid-gunfight and switching soldiers results in the former solider dying and the latter solider getting the kill. Maybe its just me.
That’s why I wrote that it might be a problem when we get better AI that doesn’t get itself killed so easily.
