Bit worried competition

Don’t get me wrong love this game BUT, 2042, Planetside 2 NSO updateand just general new game releases, will this game last, in regards to pop?

I love it, but also love some of the above too, the few things that make this game a chore will need to be addressed, grinding, bombing, same weapons for both sides all factors against this brilliant game.

Don’t flame me, if you have constructive comments would like to hear em.

this game has feature no game has and that is super important (at least for me)

  1. it’s free
  2. marketplace is good
  3. have universal in-game currency
  4. using the money you get from selling war thunder vehicle coupon and use it for enlisted which mean freee money, premium, and stuff. you can easily rack hundreds of dollar this way
  5. game size is more friendly for my storage and internet speed
  6. it has forum where i can shit on other players
  7. safe from cheater or at least the cheat isnt as bad as BFs
  8. etc

No game will be flawless. Competition is great. It gives room for improvement.

I come from a 7 years career in War Thunder (that, for those living under a rock, is another Gaijin game).

There, admittedly, the lack of equivalent competition has brought visible (rotten) fruits, since despite some changes for the good, the game has kept going full ahead in the direction of new wow content over fixing long-lasting issues, and squeezing money from players by frustrating them in every possible way unless they pay.

Currently, a point has been reached where it’s not even “pay to avoid frustration” anymore, it’s plain “pay to be slightly less frustrated”. The in-game economy has been strangled so much that, at higher levels, not even premium accounts manage to be profitable, with rewards being lower than costs and nonexistent XP progression.

Hence, among other reasons, me migrating here, and so far I can say the economy in Enlisted is honey milk compared to the greed pit that WT has become.

Therefore, I can only praise the abundance of competition when it comes to WWII multiplayer shooters. It necessarily puts a limit to how far Gaijin can push its greed, before players say F*-off and simply jump onto another train for good.

@35601120 is right. + this game is unique with it’s one player control one squad system.

I forgot to say: if the game succeeds, it is only a matter of time before we see new campaigns in post-war, Korea, Vietnam and ultimately Middle-East and modern conflicts.

Pretty much that. Despite some gaijin influence was and still clearly is visible in Enlisted, hopefully it won´t end up the same way as WT in terms of enjoyment. (For example, Operation S.U.F.F.E.R. is far more player friendly and enjoyable in Enlisted than in WT)

This game having competition is both good and bad however, because let´s face it… Darkflow is rather small studio and thus game is evolving at rather slow pace that not many players have patience for. Especially when not every update is met with positivity.
As result, we have long term issues that are seemingly ignored, followed by overnerfing aka shotguns or premium squad manpower (manpower, not composition! To hell with 7 assaulters/gunners bs).
Of course we are already seeing even longer queue times, and that brings me to fear Enlisted might be left behind its competition instead of safely securing its place.

From what we know, Darkflow could as well be nothing more than a facade puppet company of Gaijin. Their website is as placeholder as it can be.

Battlefield? It’s from EA. Ewww yuck.
Planetside? It’s very good, but another niche (very sci fi)
I’m not worried too much.
