Bigger AT guns for AT squads

Just a thought of giving later game anti tank squads better AT guns than the engineer squads?
You will still need a engineer in the anti tank squads

Russians would get the 100mm BS-3

Germans would get the 8.8cm Pak43

Allies would get the 105mm T8

or the 90mm M3 gun

or the Ordnance QF 17-pounder

(I think this is the most balanced one)

And Japan could get the 10cm Type 38 cannon

And I think the way to balance these things is to have them be blatant and obvious to see or some other downside to these big guns

Poor muzzle velocity and obsolete.
I wonder why you choose this gun when there is better alternative like the type 92 cannon.

The 17 pounder is in the editor but every time i try to spawn it my game crashes

We could also give the current AT gun the engineers normally get and give to AT engineers instead.

If you’re talking about structure, AT squads can already build AT guns.

Yes, they can. But you classically need to unlock this ability via upgrades.

Well maybe we do need more daka, though at extremely high tiers it’s justifiable at low tier you can shoot a pinged tank through the wall with the current AT gun structure. I’ve done it before so we don’t want such a big gun that it nukes low BR lobbies. A BR system for AT and AA structures may be a good idea.

Yes, of course, structures should reflect BRs just like paraboxes do.
I think that’s thing everyone should agree on.

I agree as well. I made a post about this exact topic a while ago, I also mentioned different AA guns for different BR ratings as well. Kinda just to allow the game to have the diversity it lacks (to a degree) while also enabling players to have good equipment and quality weapons, while also having the drawbacks and gives/takes for each structure. Low BR would have low BR structures, while high BR would have low and high BR structures. It would allow the high BR games to have different levels of structures that would be used as need be. Someone could construct a small AT Canon for a small tank for a side street, while they could also make a large AT For dealing with large and difficult vehicles. Just an idea of course, I know a lot of planning and balancing would have to occur but just to have them would be wonderful. :grinning:
