The BF109 G6 Erla is a modification of the BF109 G6 that replace the flatter cockpit of the normal G6 with a slightly more rounded one that improved visibility, but flight performance remained the same as the normal version and had access to the same wide range of armaments. As is, the BF 109G6 is a BR3 fighter in performance, but with the right armament options on the Erla version, it could be a formidable BR4 fighter. Where the normal G6 uses a 20mm MG151 cannon in the propeller hub, the Erla can use a 30mm Mk 108 cannon instead, which will massively increase it’s firepower. In addition, the payload could be increased by adding dual Wfr.Gr.21 rockets mounted on the wings and potentially swapping out the four small bombs for a 250kg bomb.
