Is it broken or something weird hit me that i didnt even noticed (no info, sound, hitmark)
Bf 109 G-10 is self-destruction plane type or what? Im just flying in open space and my flaps are randomly being destroyed. Noone is shooting at me, barrage ballons far away. What the hell is going with this game… My previous ticket about other bug with soldier orders didn’t fix anything.
Do you have flaps deployed at high speed?
The game seems to use the “Ralistic battle” model from WT or something like it, which means deployed flaps have a speed at which they can be damaged from airflow - you can look it up on hte WT wiki.

I think they’re using simulation mode effects, rather than realistic.
The cockpit view is sim f’sure - but mouse control is RB isn’t it?
Either way - you can rip flaps going to fast
Just keep your flaps at raised at all times.
I found that there is no current reason to change it to combat right now.
At certain speed or angle of Atack the flaps if on combat will get destroyed. Leave them at raised

If you open flaps while going too fast in either this or WT they’ll explode off instead of just refusing to open like IRL
Physics are primarily Realistic Battles-based. If it was simulator, you would struggle to make turns with the mouse without the plane shaking and threatening to roll unless you are being very careful.
On the subject, I have ripped my flaps multiple times, but usually it’s because I opened them at too high a speed. The difference in turning circle seems to be negligible unless you are going very slowly anyway.
Fair enough, I’ll take your word for it, its neither here nor there whether its sim or RB. Either way the planes do fall out of the sky like bricks if you shed too much energy. So the FMs are dubious either way. Furthermore, the huge frustration and annoying bias lies in the paradox they have created for air combat. The FMs dodgy as they are still reflect the broader aspects of the airframes, so for those that need to boom and zoom now find themselves at a stupid disadvantage vs the turn fighters, because the only way to pour enough damage is to effectively turn fight with your opponent and try to sit on their tail whilst you dump several loads of ammo and the kitchen sink into them.
Yes, the damage model is more like SB, that’s true. The transition from steady flight to uncontrollable sometimes happens at the drop of a hat, but that doesn’t really happen in SB either most of the time when you take a few hits.
