Here’s my personal assessment on the campaigns. Others may have a different experience depending on the server and timezone so take some of this with a grain of salt.
Moscow: Soviets are way to go and this was where a huge chunk of my rank grind the last time. Problems I’m having with Moscow is this is also the favorite campaign for noobs and low level players in Soviets where its annoying to deal with German sweatlords with noob teammates who are not building rally points and are hopeless against German tank spams which is why I always have a T-34 ready. Its so annoying to see teammates use T-60s against Panzer IVs where someone with a better tank can do the job better.
Normandy: Obviously Germany with the STGs, FG42s and Tigers while US mains are busy in the Pacific.
Berlin: Depends on the teams themselves but its annoying to play Armored Train escort all day.
Tunisia: Obviously easy win for Allies with some need to hustle at times like do not let your teammates farm kills and not paying attention to the objective along with the occasional Axis sweat player.
Stalingrad: Soviets on it’s current state but this campaign is the most dead of all plus the lack of map variety makes this campaign less desirable to play.
Pacific: With the event going on, mostly Allies but I also win as Japanese because of competent teammates and Americans play more passive by camping to the point that a timer appears with Japan as defenders.
I mean if you really care that much about getting Marshall rank you would just go to the campaigns that are the most one sided in terms of player base number so you can get repeated easy stomps.
Which would be :
Moscow - Play as the Soviets
Stalingrad - Play as the Soviets
Normandy - Play as the Axis
These are the easiest stomp factions at the moment.
If you don’t want to play those campaigns but still want to not have to sweat too had then :
Tunisia - Play as the Allies
Pacific - Play as the Allies
Berlin is the most balanced campaign in terms of player base, 90% of the time when I play Berlin its equal number of sweatlords wrecking eachother. So for easy Marshall progression stay away from Berlin.
the only campaign that seems a mid way for me, it’s berlin. as russians and germans are a bit more populated. and win rates are not too much different from each other.
the others, feels a bit empty ( which i still like. although less when the emptiness is filled by the lack of teammates. but oh well, the norm i’d say )
lately, i have started playing US pacific out of boredom i guess ( as i wasn’t really planning on even touching it. dunno ). and something new to try and i wanted to reach that sexy lmg johnson plus the bipodless B.A.R. US tends to win more, but at least japanese players pull up a fight.
One of them kept spamming premium squads(STG 45 and MG 45) while the other sits mostly in a FW along with the bots doing human wave attacks on the cap to the point that I have shot so many 85 and 122mm HE like an artillery. Had to do multiple duty like rally points then tank support with T-34-85 and IS-2.
Sure Berlin can be a good place to grind for rank but not the best one due to being a huge sweatfest at times if not a one sided stomp match. I have experienced some sweatfests in Moscow too even though it’s not as frequent and crazy as Berlin. Normandy right now is chill with most of the sweatlord US players are in the Pacific even with the ridiculous CAS spam in the campaign.
Its a close one though with only around like 200 tickets left. I have posted the replay link of that match. You can watch it in game and see why this is a sweat match.
If you are maxed out and not behaving as braindead as noobs then very ez to get to marshall:
If you want more ez game, then get 3 friends with good skills, go what ever campaign and slaughter.
If your friends are not online, go to these places for easy life: Normandy Axis, Stalingrad Soviet, Pacific Ally. If you have very decent weapon and pz 3N you can farm in Axis Tunisia. I will not recommend Moscow Soviet ,Tunisia Ally as your teammates might be so braindead that become a threat which will waste all your manpower, it is not easy life then.
The most noobish way to get to Marshall is to quit every match you found your teammates being inferior.
There are certain times in Moscow where the Soviet team is flocked with noobs that makes it a real headache so I would also not recommend to grind as Moscow Soviet. Even Berlin Soviet is much more chill despite being sweaty sometimes because the campaign is less noob friendly compared to Moscow and more experienced players prefer Berlin. What made my Moscow runs even more difficult is that I was grinding assaulter IV squad until I unlocked the backpack slot and gave my assaulters large ammo pouches so I don’t have to worry about grinding this squad anymore since they are already the same as my usual assaulter squads.
Normandy Axis is the most comfortable of all the campaigns to grind in right now where could just get away with just STGs and Tigers.
Already got my marshal rank back earlier so I would just get create a buffer zone so I could tolerate more bad matches especially as Japan in the Pacific.
