Berlin Weirdness

Why are AVS-36s and PPD-40s unlockables in the battle of Berlin? the AVS=36 shouldn’t even be there in the first place and the PPD (while used during Berlin from what I can find) was incredibly rare and thus should be one of them premium squads or whatnot if anything. The PPS-42 being there is also really weird, cause from what I can find they were only really used in Leningrad and probably should be replaced with the PPS-43. Also the Germans should get more of second-line rifles like Gewehr 88s, regular Gewehr 98s, and Carcanos (all of which so much more use than a Lebel)

also why is the fg42 being handed out like candy? why drum mag PPSH when the box was much more common? ect ect

Atleast those were found there and officially in inventory in moderately acceptable numbers

only 7k FG42s exist, most where on the western front, so why can the entire german army be equipped with a rare automatic rifle

Yeah that’s fair. The FG-42 is very late game tho so it sorta makes sense but they should be isolated to like a Fallschirmjager squad or something

what do you have against av36? 15 shots and if you lie down you have no problems with automatic fire (better than the avt40), if it is for historically accurate you need to know that it was thrown in the garbage first by the jumbo and then by the mkb42h

and the panzer 3B, BA-11

He took the job to counter the t26 respect him

no one uses it anymore problem solved

I’m pretty sure they were retired fully from frontline and probably even secondline service by 1942 tho, and yeah that’s fair. They really don’t care about historical accuracy

hey it was the starting soviet tank in C.A.T

Don’t bother with these arguments anymore, because Enlisted didn’t try to be a game based on purely realistic facts from the start. Because in that case, now you would have to change the whole style of the game substantially. The entire technical basis of the Enlisted is built on an arcade / simulation mix, in the context of World War II.

The sooner we absorb this fact, the easier it will be to understand how balance problems can be solved in such circumstances. I think we need to pay more attention to that.

Enlisted, it could become a great medium to attract players who would be somewhere in the middle of Hell let loose, and Battlefield games.

Hey now you take that back! My Label wielding Volksturm are more than Capable of holding their own!

Well. If I want to have a automatic gun which is only usefull/ working if you lie down, then its a MG and not a 15-round gun.
AVS is useless. Its too expensive to be considered as a semit-auto replacement and its auto fire mode is a bullet-eater and lying down shooulnt be option for a assault rifle.
At least imo.

They are nothing more than grind placeholders.

Mmm I don’t know… Im slowly replacing my svt with avs. For the single reason it has 15 bullets per mag. Recoil (semi mode) is similar to svt, and in cqb, auto mode saved my ass more than once

It’s only “bad” if ppl compare it to a german fg, because it’s in fact not bad at all.

we don’t want a lot of ultra historical precision, we just want the game to not be a battlefield V, that’s all

If the game was super historical we would have T34 and KV1 in Moscow instead of the tinplates of the T50 and T28

Wait I do. Have they nerfed it?

this is the exact reason why I started using the m2 carbine and avs36 even if I don’t like them, compared to fg42 they are useless but I can at least make you fight for example in normandy the spam of fg42 is such that with the garand I can no longer do nothing :pensive:, now I shoot blindly with the m2 carbine and surprisingly it kills a lot :grinning:)

I dont compare it with the FG but rather with the rifles avaible for me. The SVT is far more reliable, cheaper and idk if its just me but its feels less random than the AVS. The AVS has its hard to control auto-mode and five additional clips (Its not like the super-gun from HnG sniff). The SVT is just better for me.
Plus (and imo the most important reason) its not historical in Berlin and questionable in Moscow. I have one ABC for my rifle squad in Moscow (which I turned into a squad of Winter War veterans).
