Yeah, I’m into realism too, but realism still needs balance.
In real life, enemies were not concerned with balance, they were concerned with producing the most powerful, devastating equipment they could. That produced an arms race which had one side being more powerful than the other for a few months before the balance switched.
Ironically that’s kind of the situation we are in now.
well, i have neutral feelings about it…
but we do see more russian players with high level equipment compared to the german one.
so after all, they were somewhat right.
but, time is like devs are running out of it.
so i don’t know.
in the last time, i see them pushing for stuff over stuff. and half of those stuff wasn’t polished.
perhaps selected memebers would have made things a bit better for a big variety.
well, it got somewhat nerfed so, i guess it received the complaints.
rarity yes, but at the point where it was somewhat strickly better than even upgraded weapons didn’t felt really normal for everyone.

as we saw, enlisted is not meant to be symmetrically balanced, and that’s ok. but seems like the asymetrical balance is favoring more one side than another at the point that this game " used to be known for being skill based " it’s not so much anymore.

We are, but those results - as always - are mixed. There are comments from both Russian and German mains. Differences in playstyle, grinding progress, and favourite factions all come into effect. That is why the balancing process takes time.
Well, it is in some ways and not in others. Maps can be balanced, but weapons for example are balanced on availability and damage per second/recoil. A weapon can be realistically accurate but be ineffective, and vice versa. That’s why placing things in the right place, and in the right numbers, is important.
Yeah I never cared about whether our A10 gun runs were OP or not when I was down range.
I am totally fine with, being outgunned or outmanned. You want to give Russians extra tank slots in Berlin since they had about a billion tanks rolling through that city? Cool, give the germans the panzerschrek and the ability to build hardened defenses. I think overcoming realistic and authentic obstacles in a “fun” way can be very compelling and offer gameplay dynamics that are superior to moba style symmetrical balance.
Last thing I want is the ROF of the PPSH to be nerfed or something so decidedly ahistorical. With such a high velocity round and it’s quality control requiring you to check and hand fit magazines, I do doubt it’s zero recoil and high accuracy nature.
The russians in Berlin are leveling MUCH faster than the Germans. My Russian team in Berlin has nearly caught up to my German team and I’ve played my German team much much more.
I see entire teams with SVTs/DPMs and have seen an FG42 once or twice.

It was a combination of the perks AND the fact that it was a max star MP40? I kinda forget. Or was the max star MP41 just straight up better. IMO it should have been identical to the MP40 or slower ADS speed with lower recoil (slower ADS and lower recoil for the heavier wooden stock) a sidegrade 5 star.
Can they? is it gone for me since I own it? Talking about the MP41 squad right?
perceived unbalance in Berlin has depopulated the berlin axis side and we now face the same exact problem all over again

what i’m particulary upset, is that despite lots of threads, many things still be unchanged, and road maps seems to be more ghost than actual things.
this is why I would want a lot of full autos like FG42 be appropriately powerful and rare, like they were IRL instead of standard issue and kinda powerful.
I agree with you, but I’m a nerd and love attention to detail. That doesn’t apply to everyone in the community. Some people just want to casually play a few matches and have a fun time without learning historical intricacies.
It’s impossible to please everyone which, again, leads back to the point about balance being a delicate process.
yeah, unfortunately, it will be like that until the announced matchmaker will be a thing.

yeah, the mp41 was pretty much an mp40 with less recoil and slight higer rate of fire.
perks made it even better. not to count, even if you didn’t had recoil perk and picked up the mp41 was still too much stronger.

Makes me wonder something, though… the german made mp41 should have been part of german arsenal in Berlin… more so than the nice, but Italian Beretta… I’m certain it would have been more common in that stage of the war than the Italian made smg.
