I gave up Berlin since I maxed out the two levels of last major update. I occasionally just play Berlin for one match and surprisingly find that it’s not a Soviet marshall bot farming(which used to be 99% of berlin matches). What’s happening in Berlin?

I played yesterday with a full axis team (surprisingly) and we won on the second point.
I believe there were a few guys using FG42 but the rest had PZ.IV so I’m not sure, guess a influx of new players.
Also the enemy team only had 1 bot so it was a full player match.
Depends on the time of day you play. If you are in the US play Berlin Axis sometime between like 2:00AM to around 12:00PM and you will get grouped up with a lot of high level Axis players, seemingly mostly Asian based on in game chat. You still have to go up against a lot of high level Allies players though.
Wait event end, it become a ghost town again today people are here for tank kill

played today at least 7 matches on berlin as german, won all of them.

Axis mains finally got that their highlevel equipment is good.
After months of denying that fg-42 is a good weapon and tiger is actually useful.

And now they realised that equipment wasn’t the problem, but players were.

Actually after fedorov is muh fedorov but only if we talk about mp43 for sure no one complained about fg42 and tiger here
Berlin’s balance flipped around after the last series of balance patches which made it take forever for the Soviets to cap objectives with very few tickets rewarded while Axis get fast cap times and large ticket rewards. The balance in Moscow, Normandy and Stalingrad have evened out as their rebalances weren’t so extreme but Tunisia remains completely fucked still and Berlin’s player population moved over to Axis, it’s just not very fun to have to take 3x as long to cap flags while only getting 0-100 tickets for capping.

Cap time is fine imo.
It’s mostly just maps being kinda unbalanced, plus there’s insane amount of highlevel sweatlords, so whoever has better late equipment wins. Currently it’s germans.

Aside from Moscow axis tanks, i agree with you, whenever there’s complain about a campaign being unfair most of the time the problem is lack of players + skilled ones
This is my match the day before yesterday.
(Soviet rarely won when being attacking team these days……only this won and sweating)
My skills are average, but this kind of battle full of marshals on both sides is very common in Berlin recently, and now the Soviet offensive is often at a disadvantage due to the interference of tiger II and FG422/STG44 and the extra long occupation time.
German paradise.
P.S. met the author of the post yesterday in Berlin axis, I remembered 
So many Panthers lately and there’s even one guy that’s actually spawn camping the tank spawn but infantry capped the third and I got him with T-34-85. Got the destroy 3 armored vehicles task as a result of that crazy battle. I did get the tank kills with an IS-2 on an earlier match.

is2 is very bad when meeting enemy tanks. Only can use it to kill infantry 
Or if saw tanks it have to stay behind fortifications to wait for refilling ammo
Because A German with FULL FG422 STATS CAN SLAP A Soviet in THE FACE

IS-2 does well in fighting enemy tanks on slow engagements its just the T-34-85s do the job better and much faster with the rate of fire. IS-2 is the best against fortified positions(buildings, bunkers and even some cap points like Hitler’s Office) and large groups of infantry where 122mm HE
I even get to win some sweaty matches because of the IS-2 with 1 shot can clean an entire cap point much faster than a plane bombing where the IS-2 can fire a few more shots before a plane resupplies and back on the bombing run.
