Beretta M38 should has less recoil

it heavier and has a slower rate of fire than Beretta M1918 and it also has a compensator at the front so I think it should have less recoil than at least MP 40 (19 for now). and I see some shooting video clip the barrel almost doesn’t climb at all

Recoil is per round fired, not a flat rate of time. So the M1918 will still have higher recoil. Also the M1918 has really high horizontal recoil, while the M38 has very little.

I don’t mean that it has to go below M1918. I just use it as an example for gun structure.

actually, from clips, (Beretta : https://youtu.be/lHUw43sUcaM?t=155 https://youtu.be/ERra12KuEvw?t=147 https://youtu.be/jLErRfvbeeY MP 40 : https://youtu.be/O38a_Bx18RU?t=24 https://youtu.be/U5gE_bUZtfE?t=97 M3 Grease Gun : https://youtu.be/3rKOdiHmKFc?t=144 https://youtu.be/-lk6VPPZ1S4)
Beretta M38’s recoil in full auto is around M3 Grease Gun and less than MP 40. and if recoil number is per round fired so it should even lower than MP 40 as I say because it fires more rapidly but less full auto recoil
