The problem is a BR4 Thomson does not compete against even the weakest assault rifle. The BH Carbine would make a good assault rifle to go to BR4 and compete with a nerfed br4 German assault rifle. I look forward to people telling me how the 30 round Thompson is somehow good enough to fight a German assault rifle.
The Gap between BR4 and 5 is real the trouble is making br4 stronger moves the gap to between 3 and 4. sorry but the M1 garand can compete with a 20 round semi auto unless it has a worse reload to like 5 seconds. still a lower capacity ar might work as capacity and damage has outside the Kiraly been a trade off between the US and German (God i hate the buffed Thompson in German drag no is not that inaccurate no i dont accept data mining fiction).
Id rather see a br0 making a tier with shotguns, bolt action rifles and no automatic weapons. this could slide some weapons making some room between the sf and sa rifle which sf i would rather just get rid of. smgs just dont really in many cases feel br1 to 5 to me. the thompsons with 30 rounds should all be br3 not br4 or bloody br2. making a br0 would move the garand to br2 and the g43 to br3 making a slot for a 20 round semi auto at br4.
