With the launch of the test server for the next big update I wanted to try something that I had in mind since I read that gunners would be able to be used
I went to the Pacific in South Gavutur with a friend to get on the parked Japanese seaplanes but my friend couldn’t get on, please add the ability to use the gunner! on those planes!

You swap to the gunner, it’s not a seat for another player.

It is! i already tried it with other planes as the seagull and the E13A1 with my friend as the gunner and me as the pilot (It was kinda difficult to land)
There’s no reason to add feature like that. You would only end up sabotaging your own team.
But maybe, it could be available exclusively only for lone fighters.

Heroes and Generals had a feature like this, you could spawn in a plane and be a gunner until you could spawn. (sometimes dogfights were brutal and quick thus players racked up serious spawn time penalties).

I’ve basically never played H&G. Was it 10vs10 just like enlisted?
Well, almost. H&G had 20 vs 20 in most matches.
There were air to air and tank vs tank only matches as well but those had naturally less players.

If you are lookin to have some vehicle fun with your friends I recommend halftracks and motorcycles. Tank hunting with “light armor” is always a good time.
Other than that your friend can use a back turret on the LVT(A), or probably one of the guns on the new LVT4 premium when that drops with the update.

I guess its worth mentioning that H&G had limits on vehicle usage too, the mechanics did change but generally teams had resource assigned to them (296 inf, 90 cars, 24 bikes, 48 recons, 10 APCs, 24 fighter planes, 12 heavy tanks ect…) if the team used them up, they were gone and the players who queued as recons couldn’t spawn after recons ran out.
MM assigned more or less specialists depending on resources available but usually there were only 2 pilots assigned, some times 4, but other players could switch during battle (from infantry to pilot and vice versa).

I do like H&G resources system, by default is balanced, in War mode though… you can see 4000 soldiers vs 200 sometimes lmao
Also yes you can share seat with other players or your own squads
