Yeah, that’s true. In some ways it’s indeed better than all the BR2 weapons.
Even though it isn’t semi-automatic, with Japanese weapons getting more and more buffs lately, if they also give this weapon a no scope drift when firing buff, its strength would far outclass every other BR2 event weapon.
There’s something that’s been really bugging me lately.
It’s honestly pretty strange. Everyone on the forum seems to have this soft spot for Japanese faction content. Any buffs and balance suggestions for Japan get approved and implemented extremely quickly.
Compare that to suggestions for Germany, the Soviet Union, and general game improvements — the difference is night and day.
I reckon if an actual Japanese player made suggestions, they’d probably get way better results than us.
All I can say about this is that it’s a BP weapon, and it’ll be really hard to pull from crates later on. Once the weapon pool gets diluted over time, the chances of ever running into it will be super low.
Still, whether you come up against it or not makes a world of difference. When I’m playing Soviet BR3 Manchuria and go up against a skilled Japanese player using that field-modified mortar, it’s absolutely devastating for our entire team.
Practically every Japanese weapon is overtuned; they’re almost never bad. By contrast, American and Soviet weapons can be hit or miss, you just get garbage ones sometimes.
Though America’s event weapons are really good.
Poor Soviets, I feel bad for them.
