Battle for Moscow Missions stage 3 - FEEDBACK

Once again we have updated available missions in the Battle for Moscow to stage 4. Now we kindly ask you to post below feedback on the missions of the previous day (of stage 3).

Kamenka River (Conquest)

Vysokovo Village (Assault)

Game modes:

  • Conquest - mode where you fight for control over a number of strategic points simultaneously.
  • Invasion - mode where you need to win a series of strategic points one-by-one.
  • Assault - mode where you need to take control over strategic sectors (groups of points) one after another.

Kamenka River
I really enjoy this map. Just enough cover to move from area to area without getting sniped, but enough open space around the capture points to defend them relatively easily. Requires an extend of team effort to push into points. Only downside is tht the church tower can not be scaled by AI as it uses ladders and takes long. In addition to that, the tower lacks any kind of cover once you are up there, making it very easy to get sniped by a random AI while up there.
Vysokovo Village (assault)
this mode plays so much smoother than the invasion mode due to the faster cap rates. Sure, you have to capture 2 points instead of 1, but it requires much less map control over a long duration to get to the next zone. Still lacks alternative routes with cover in most areas, though. More trenches are needed, but interrupt them so tanks can still cross them.

Kamenka River is my absolute favorite map so far, just because of the church that brings so much to gamplay, sniping positions and so on. We need more maps with towers, as they can be sometimes great positions for MG’s and Snipers until compromised.

Kamenka River:
This map sucks cause the side that has to come across the river in order to reach the Church is under fire power that the other side could reach to the Church first and use its windows for cover and shoot.

So, here is the CASE, one team come and then capture the Church point, while other team is busying crossing that river without any cover at all, which makes those who in water into target for the other team. then let’s call it, the shooting range :joy:

Kamenka River According to my today’s 2 matches in this map, I felt much unbalance for the side (today, soviet side, away from church, spawn near C, not near church) to attack the church that have to cross the open field and river. Also, the sniper on top of church can see pretty very where crossing the river, make that side more difficult to attack the church. (church is the 2nd near section from the spawn point) For the other side, attacking church is more easy. They have houses for cover.

For me, I love Assaule and Invension mode, instead of the old school 3-Points-Capture mode, which is Conquest in Enlisted game.

As for me, years of playing WarThunder with that 3-Points-Capture mode makes me feel boring and to be honest that should be abandoned for a long time.

So the new Assault and Invension modes are good, at least make it more realistic for a real combat in WWII. Think about this, could you image that in WWII, two side capture the vitual circle point again and again? For me that 3-Points-Capture mode is noting but born for pure game, which has little with the REALISTIC. :joy:

Also, why not let us unlock and use the already made weapons like the AVS-36 and AVT-40?

We see that they are in Enlisted game and in Tutorial that we can use, but we are not able to use them in PVP modes.

So, that is my request :stuck_out_tongue:

Kamenka River (Conquest)
Another good infantry map but not that great for vehicles.
there needs to be a bridge on both sides of the church as well to be able to contest the church cap once one team captures the chuch and there is an enemy spawn next to the church as well.
Vysokovo Village (Assault)
Engineer “bug” or feature that need to be reworked is still there.
Initial trench fight is interesting.
This map made me feel like that Artillery should start with ~20 second initial cooldown instead of 30.
The russian spawns could use a bit of rework and flamethrowers in the inital region are a very hit or miss depending on their RNG and hope that they don’t kill you by setting the wall next to you on fire for some reason. The 2nd to 4th caps are fairly plain and don’t offer much in gameplay. The last point needs a spawn rework as it’s either hell to defend or hell to attack.

All u gotta do is to grind ur way to get that AVS-36 & AVT-40 buddy :slightly_smiling_face:

I think there is no squad that have the ability to use such auto-rifle

At least not yet, uh-huh

Kemenka river is a GEM, fighting over the cathedral is great, there is also plenty of areas to flank, leaves for some smooth gameplay,

i feel it is pretty balanced, even though many complain about the river being on the axis side, it just requires a different strategy as i play axis mainly, and we always seem to win on that map.

Vysoko Village seems to be really fast paced for me. Design of them up is good in my opinion, I don’t have anything to complain about but the delay between each attack should be much longer. I had many situations where enemy tarted capturing our zone before our team even managed to position themselves and prepare for attack there.

Kamenka River is, just like in the first test, a bit too chaotic in my opinion. In my opinion, they should follow the design philosophy of Berlin Conquest map (government building one) which was more fun in my opinion. Vyoskovo Village is great as it is, only problem is that first spawn point creates in first 15 second of a match absolute grenade meatgrinder on the pont due to both teams spawning in same trench, and a capture point in between (invasion)

Well…is there any news about the upcoming stage 4 yet??

This mission is terrible. The attackers have far too many reinforcements and/or there are not enough objectives in the series for them to take. It is a neat idea, but it needs a complete redesign.

All of the other missions in the Moscow campaign are really fun.
