So, after playing a good few hours and unlocking the 31st Anti Tank, I’m disappointed to find that in the OBT, you are forced to have a rifle AND the AT rifle.
Now, AT rifles are known to be extremely heavy, and the main gunner would rarely carry a backup rifle as it would have been far too cumbersome. They would have been issued a pistol as their personal defence.
Just a little rant, as I personally think dual carry/ secondary main weapons are silly.
For most classes, this is now at the cost of not getting to use a backpack. Only the classes that cannot actually defend themselves with their main weapon, such as bomber or flametrooper, get both.
I agree and actually commend them on the choice of two weapons or equipment.
But I managed to actually survive fairly easily with the Bomber/ Flamer using pistols and AT rifles.
Even if they gave you the choice to even optionally remove a weapons so you could enter the battle with no primary, that would be great. As I appreciate it not being a change that most people would like.
