Since they clearly don’t care about investing a minimum amount of money in the AI to make it a little better, they should at least be a little less stingy and make some minimal repairs to it, something like stopping them from going to the enemy base to enter a building, so they can keep up with you and not have you spawn as a bot that’s 4 games away from you when you die.
The AI has a lot of shortcomings, even more shortcomings than the devs xD
It’s no surprise that they only know how to lie. They said the bots would stop crossing the middle and they continue to do so, I’d say even more frequently. They said the grenades would go through windows and they don’t. Have some nerve and do a minimum to fix something.
And I think that of all the lies they told and bugs the game has, the one related to the AI is the most annoying.
Would be nice too if your botties attacked enemy tanks rather than ignore them and continue to run infront of them to be gunned down. Lol bot tanks spawn camping.
Just making them mirror the player more would be a HUGE improvement. Make them RUN when we RUN, go into a building at the same location we enter, STAY exactly where we order them the STAY. If possible, make them not act like their all crack heads going through withdraws, and so they don’t keep walking in front of us when we are shooting or throwing grenades. Basically, just give them some basic common sense.
If the Dev’s already can make the BOTS lay down when we lay down already, then they know how to mirror them, so just do the same for the other things I mentioned above, run and enter buildings when the player does. As far as them being crack heads and getting in the way, I would be ok with that, IF the Dev’s would make the player bullets pass through them so we are not constantly dying because we can’t shoot the enemy through them.
We don’t want a bunch of AI Rambo’s, just BASIC COMMON SENSE>
This game isn’t the best example, because the devs are even more useless and greedy than the ones here, but it’s also a game driven entirely by AI, your bots follow your orders, they attack if you order them to (except barbarian or criminal troops that are undisciplined) They retreat if you order them to and most importantly, you can leave the AI anywhere on the map. They will defend themselves and more importantly they will defend the place where you leave them until they are killed.
They could very well imitate something from this or other games.
Even if they were given the ability to learn and each AI would act based on what it learns from its player, that would be amazing.
Because in that case, it wouldn’t be more broken than its player, so it would still be the same, a player can easily wipe out 2 players and their bots, if his bots were equal to him the battles would be harder, but especially a single player could influence the field more making the load difference a little more pleasant. (and by load I mean the useless ones that touch you 90% of the games and do nothing xD)
Not to mention that if a player leaves (or there aren’t any) and they are replaced by bots, you wouldn’t notice any difference and the fight would be more even against the other team if they have the whole team.
