I suggest adding more barricade variants to the game, for example: low sandbag barricade, high sandbag barricade, barricade with an opening, high barbed wire and a more protected MG nest. Additionally, we need special barricades that can only be place on doors/windows.
The last suggested type of barricade is probably the only one that is needed atm. The rest can be saved up for later after the main options are refined.
Also, I would be a bit cautious about "more protected MG nests as they might be too strong for current maps in the game.
I was talking about an mg nest where the shooter is protected from the sides too
A get it, but the issue with MG nests is, that even a slightest buff can possibly make them absolutely broken like they were when they were first implemented, thus we should proceed with caution when dealing with helping MG nests to be more protected.
The thing I really want tho is impassable razor wire
Well, and a higher sandbag barricade
I still say give the better stuff to the upgraded engineer squad to give them a purpose to even unlock at such a high level. It would add some reason to grind. Better barbed wire, better sandbags and multiple types
Maybe. I don’t see why not.
As long as upgraded barricades are coming, I’m for it
Hmm yes further cockblock newbies.
Honestly it would be better to give the high level engineer squad different stuff that isn’t better.
Like having a more rapid firing but weaker 37mm AT gun instead of the 50mm AT gun.
And give dedicated players something to keep playing for…I’m not saying vastly better but hey hows a squad with all bolt action do against a squad of all semi autos? I’m not talking that drastically better but yes different/alternatives
absolute shit with vitality perks stopping oneshots on torso half the time
players that keep playing have higher skill, and hours of enjoyment of what is apparently their favorite game. Or do you have to stomp newbies to feel good?
“I” also hate the massive gap in semi vs bolt actions and the slot machine chances of getting one. Dont put words in my mouth like you seem to want to. Having something to grind for that isnt massively OP isnt a bad thing. It gives players a reason to continue to progress without stomping people
Yes, having something to grind for is fine. But they should be sidegrades, not upgrades in ANY way, imo.
good we agree on that one.
Alternative perhaps would be a better word. Maybe you can build a better set of razor wire but it costs more and you cant build as many. Variation is a good thing and small things like this aren’t game breaking
Agreed. The thing I was against specifically was this:
Which put you into the “I like P2W” group for me
We need sidegrades ^^
Imo, anything past lvl 12-13 should be high skill, high reward equipment. PPD drum was a good example of this in early beta. Anyone who knew how to use it can dominate all ranges with it but in inexperienced hands, it can be countered by anyone who has progressed enough for basic equipment.
PPD drum would be a great equipment to grind for but still leave new players a fighting chance. Something similar could be worked for the German side too.
On the topic of the thread, I don’t want to see engineer upgrades. Engineers are unlocked very early and they are already quite OP when used by capable players. Giving them upgrades will only makes these players stomp newbies more. Increased resource points with higher levels is all that I want to see. But only over the amount we have right now. Don’t reduce the current numbers just to accomodate upgrades.
if the box had a faster reload and/or drum a slower reload, then yes. Now there is no reason to take the box over the drum
Engineers already have an upgrade and its Engineer squad 2 the problem is they’re pretty pointless as they give no alternative in buildings or really much reason to start over an engineer squad minus some different squad members
Ofc it’s not suitable for the current campaign progression. Soviets will need a SMG that works in most situations before drum. This was only to point out an example that everyone would most likely understand.
The new unlocks are only to cover up the mess of no tickets after a certain campaign level. Don’t take it as anything more that. I am sure there will be changes to it in the future.
I do believe they plan to actually implement differences in the second tier of the squads besides adding a flamethrower and this is currently a stop gap
