The first tank for the axis on Berlin is the pz4j and for the allies it’s the t34 85 d5t… the t34 85 d5t is better at everything…it would already be ok if it would be a pz4h and change the first allied tank to a normal t34 or a t34 57but even that would be meh…
as far as I know Germany had the superior tanks throughout the entire war but why isn’t it so in the game?
In russia of course t34s and stuff were better at first but later on Normady and Berlin Germany had way better tanks why is there not a single Tiger 1 or 2 in the Game?
And also SU80M is much stronger than the JAGDPANZER IV 70(A) pls just exchange that with the Jagdpanther or the JAGDPANZER IV 70(V)
Axis have disadvantages everywhere on Berlin (except the planes) and it’s not even fun to play the allies because u always win within 10 minutes
Second is Moscow where the Pz3j still has the small 50mm even though it should have the long 50mm? Its very very hard to even damage the t50
And then on Normandy pls just remove the M4A3E2 Jumbo and replace it with an E8 and everything is alright…or give the axis a tiger 1 or panther because Jumbo is just way too OP
Yes ik but Normandy and Berlin both are Mid-endstage of the war…Moscow is just questionable why the pz3j doesn’t have the 50mm L60 even though it was the first tank to receive that gun…they maybe could add a pz3L like 5or 3 lvls higher with the better armor and the 50mm L60 which would be ok and the Russians then get the T34
Any berlin tank can pen the hull at angles of 45 degrees or less. The T-34 can’t orient itself to grant both front and side armor more than 45 degrees of deflection at the same time, since angling to give one side more deflection reduces the deflection of the other.
Jumbo is fine. Even the Puma can destroy them pretty easily, as long as the Puma operator is smart. Have seen numerous Jumbos (including mine) get destroyed by flanking Pumas. Ergo, it’s not a tank problem – it’s a skill problem.
In that situation, then the Jumbo player is being smart. Tanks should look for defilade and use it to their advantage. Sitting out in the open is suicidal. Sometimes, one player has a temporary advantage. Snipers work the same way; they can engage from much further distances than infantry, and if they’re smart, then they’ll dominate the battlefield.
Sometimes, winning is more about outfoxing other people, and less about your equipment.
Nonsense. I can sit right in the open and the germans cannot do anything to me. The only thing I have to be careful about is to not get flanked, which is easy. And absolutely nothing can pen me. Moving or angling ever so slightly makes my tank immune to any kind of damage from enemy tanks.
Playing german tanks, I am not afforded such ridiculous advantage. I do not even have as good reload time to murder infantry as fast as I can in a jumbo. Terrible game balance, and people unironically defend this garbage.
I rarely get killed by another tank playing it, and it is always because I made a mistake and overextended. I never get killed frontally because I am not going to sit like an idiot and award enemy tankers valuable time to find the few pixels they can penetrate on the jumbo. And while PZ IV is the only tank that has a chance to penetrate those pixels, every other german tank has to flank me to be able to get shots in. Good luck with that.
Meanwhile, playing the PZ IV, I have to worry about all US tanks, since all have the ability to penetrate me frontally. This means that, unlike when playing Jumbo and I can ignore PZ IIIs and oneshot the Sdkfz with HE meaning I am often supporting the infantry, in PZ IV, I have to look out for enemy tanks instead of supporting my team. On top of that, P47s can ruin my day very quickly, whereas, In Jumbo, I do not have to worry about planes at all. German rockets rarely do any damage to me, and the bombs are easy to avoid by simply pushing a button to move forward or backward.
The fact the you got killed twice (and you conveniently made no mention how you got killed) says more about your ability to use the tank to its true potential. It does not say anything about the tank. It is also completely irrelevant, since no one claimed the tank is invincible. It is overpowered and it also makes no sense to be in the Normandy campaign, just as it makes no sense to have most of the infantry types be able to use the fg 42 (which is also an overpowered weapon, just as Jumbo is).
The irony of accusing me of resorting to histrionics (because I reacted to a douchebag), to then resort to histrionics yourself with statements such as “I got killed twice (throughout the entire night, no less) therefore the tank is balanced”, and without providing a single compelling argument to refute the position which claims that Jumbo is 1. overpowered and 2. has no reason to be in the Normandy campaign from a historical standpoint.
In PZ IV, one would expect to get killed at least twice every battle, not twice a gaming session. Unlike Jumbo, PZ IV is not idiot proof.
Due to rather linear maps id say 80% of tank on tank combat is frontal. If the other tank has advantage in most combat situations its quite obviously better tank regardless can you flank it or not.
And as you just had to bring the “SuPErIor AllIEd SKilLZZZzz” to conversation one could argue you just need to L2P if you constantly get flanked aint tanks fault that you dont pay attention to your surroundings.
Correct words. If you’ve been overtaken by a tank, you’ve done something VERY wrong. It only takes a couple of seconds to turn and then it’s head-on again, while the enemy spent several minutes trying to avoid you.
The penetration should be adequate in frontal combat.
