OG-43 is fine where it is. It is very accurate, has a low recoil. It is a much better weapon than some of the German 5.0 weapons. If you have a problem with 20 rounds in the magazine, you have low accuracy. There is a shooting range in the game, you can learn to shoot.
How do you know? I mean, most of the pictures about OG43 are 20 rounds. It should be reasonable to use small magazines as a paratrooper weapon.
20 rounds mag makes sense in reality where a single 7.65x21 or 9x19 bullet to the belly makes a guy forget about everything in the world.
In enlisted it takes about 3 pistol-caliber rounds to down an average soldier, making low capacity SMGs with low RoF not worth using.
Italian army doctrine.
10 and 20 round magazines was for police and guard duty, for combat 30 and 40 round.
Its like 20 RPM slower than average bolt action snipers, have you used it before?it has nothing going for it and its really not that funny
But after 1943, there were two Italian armies. One was with the allies, the other with Hitler. The OG-43 weapon was used by those who were with Hitler.
Its okay I guess for low BR,but it has zero buisness over any game BR3
I use it on the 5.0 and prefer it to the German machine guns. He’s not as bad as you think.
Because it is an Italian gun, so used by Italian paratroopers are reasonable
Yeah for-fricking-ever ago when I thought Snipers were a good idea and thought SMG’s were trash (so REALLY early gaming)
Thankfully at that point I had it in my Radio Op Squad and not my main Rifleman Squad so my Radio Ops stayed alive and I could hammer objective with artillery repeatedly
It wasn’t that bad. The 6 round internal mag was interesting. Little irritating to reload though. Still, it does the job
I would LOVE to test this theory of yours
no; as italy you should only get strong italian weapons like the breda 30…
or maybe a Safat 1928 that overheats easily.
OG-43 used MAB 38 mags which means that it could accept 20,10 and 40 round MAB mags which means yes it did use 40-round mags
when he wanted to attack the Soviet Union
Will be beaten into honeycombs by Fedorov and high-performance submachine guns
When he wanted to attack the United States
The M2 carbine will use the rate of fire to tell him what the value of a general-purpose fully automatic rifle is.
Next, Tom 50 will humiliate him severely with the magazine capacity.
The best part
Everything else is worse than that insignificant flamer gun
18 meters range, 5 seconds battery life and level 3 damage
This lousy weapon is their only recourse
But it’s a pity
This kind of thing that is not a threat in level 3 fields can only appear in level 5 fields.
that’s not exactly true
although this was the standard rule with the outbreak of the war it simply disappeared and you could see magazines of all types
PAI policemen with 40-round magazines
Bersaglieri with 20 round magazines

Then why does every other Para squad have larger magazines than 30rounds? The FG42 is a paratrooper rifle and it’s relatively large and has a 20 round mag. Yet it’s 8mm and has a 20rd mag. The OG-43 is a BRI weapon, its damage per minute and low magazine size reduces the ability to be effective against any other para squad in BRV games. The 100rd Thompson squad and Vickers LMG squad are being used in the same games as the Folgore squad. How is that truly acceptable? I’m genuinely trying to understand how it’s okay for that to be the case, especially when the well gun is BR2 and has a magazines larger than 20rd.
This has historical reasons German parachutes were set up to handle less weight and had to drop with only pistols and knives during the early war and wait for their weapon create until FG-42 came along ( a gun that can do all MG/Semi auto / Has 8mm Mauser a full rifle cartilage/controllable like AR) but I don’t know if Italians used the same parachute as Germans I know Hungarians and Japan did but beside historical reason which lets be honest is inferior to balance reasons there shouldn’t be something like this happening so yes it’s not logical to have it at BR 4 either they have to make adjustable crate and change it to BR2 or they have to change the mag size of OG-43
My question was rhetorical, I understand all of the Luftwaffe and the paratrooper uniforms, as well as the contract requirements as per the national party. For a game that takes historical accuracy and modifies it, it is not acceptable for them to hold some factions and squads to a high, historical standard, and then completely relax, and have loose regulations for others.
I agree with you, if the OG 43 is going to stay in BR four, it needs to have a 40 round magazine, and then all of the gripes that I have would be completely dropped. Yet if they do not do that, it should be removed and placed into the R2, everyone that I talk to has all said the same thing and we have been ignored for over six months, give or take a few weeks, I cannot recall exactly when I got the squad, but it has been since August I believe.
