Balancing aircraft

I realize that some of y’all going to disagree quite severaly, but I also think enough of us remember that Enlisted was meant to be an infantry based game, and feel that the vehicles are perhaps too overpowered, particularly aircraft in BR III–V.

As such, I present that we set some limitations onto them.
My idea is giving them a limited amount of fuel — keeping it as accurate as possible to what the aircraft actually would’ve had, respectively, for each flight, plus some. It cannot be refueled or anything (as that, of course, would defeat the puropse of the fuel nerf).
It’s a solution thats fair and lets players use aircraft as they wish, but limits the amount of time per spawn.

So the question is: do y’all think this is a good idea?

I fully agree that planes can be annoying sometimes but I don’t think this is the way to go. A good bombing run is good damage but followed immediately by needing to restock away from the combat zone, unlike tanks which have far shorter distances but that’s totally beside the point of the topic, and as such isn’t as effective overall as other methods. And they can be nicely countered both by AA and other planes. People cycling planes would be an issue with cycling not the planes themselves but this wouldn’t address that anyways.

Ironically enough this would only buff planes, especially the ones with full fuel tanks already. The lighter load would make them perform better and make them easier to fly.

AA works BR 1-2 its adequate at BR3 and past that its just a joke having BR1 AA gun in BR 4-5.

Certain factions have rather “OP” airforce, so its obvious choice to take plane.
While certain other factions have better tanks, so they go with the tanks.

Problem with the tank / plane balance is the fact that there is much more ways to take out the tank than theres against the plane.

This issue combined with F2P inability to bring 2 vehicles to have even remote chance of fighting against what ever vehicles is coming against them.

No idea who thought this ability was a good idea.

Decreasing the fuel load will only make them fly better in which case acting as a buff.

Jets or atleast the 262 could fly for around 30 minutes… and P-47 for multiple hours… bringing up realism doesn’t help your argument.

This is a combined arms game… while not being a beta player myself watching just 3 seconds of a clip showing it i already hear a tank and then later the guy mentions planes… so no this is not infantry based game… you can spawn a plane and tank just the same as infantry and that’s because it is combined.

After BR3 weapons start to become pretty powerful as well ranging from AVS 36 20, RD44, Federov Avtomat… ironic as there is a theme there… and even AT weapons progressing to the ofenrohr which is an extremely easy weapon to use and quite potent.

AA guns are an easily solution to an annoying plane, you sit on an AA and harass them whenever they get close to the battlefield and they will become annoyed with your presence… like you are with them.

Planes and tanks are not on the same level of infantry… they are motorized vehicles made with the explicit idea of doing mass amounts of damage on their infantry brethren.

I wish to use the plane the entire game or however long the enemy lets me… notice something there? I can be in it the entire time UNTIL the enemy does something about it.
