Currently, the German MG 42 offers 50-round drums and 100-round belts, while the American Stinger has a 200-round capacity. To keep gameplay balanced and historically fair, the German MG belts should also have an increased option of 200–250 rounds. This adjustment would allow German machine gunners to better compete against high-capacity counterparts and maintain sustained firepower in longer engagements.

its “bugged” since in reality that box only held 100 rounds but for some reason, its taking devs years to fix a simple mistake like that.
(It took same devs 3 years to fix ppsh41 box´s dispersion so we really shouldnt be surprised).

I like to “BRRRRRR” like just anyone here…
But I don’t think it’s necessary. Not with how lmgs are currently used (cumbersome assault rifles).
If the class and weapons were used in a more stationary manner then of course… but a 200 rounds belt is rather long, while running around shooting.

Well, @VoyoMayPL have made rather extensive suggestions regarding this but apparently so far it havent been forwarded or devs just dont care.
ANYWAY, real easy bandage fix that devs like would be introducing yet another MG42 duplicate with 1200 rof and 250 belt and give it the solothurn treatment.
No firing unless prone or bipoded.
Very easy and probably ugly as fk looking but hey who cares at this point.
And before someone goes fullbutthurt, obviously same can be applied to any lmg of any faction not just MG42.

only the MG42 can be obtained at any time, and the Stinger only during events or with a low chance at a time when veteran boxes are available.

Yes and it whould be great they increase recoil and need to lay down or mount the lmg to shoot but then every player will crying for sure i like makeing BRRRRRrrrRRRRT with smg’s more
A separate event mg42 with 200 round magazine would be fun, at br7 a tech tree br7 mg42 with 200 rounds would be fun.

Having an MG42 with that and its 1500 RPM would be fantastic to see with a 250 round belt.

Stinger should get it’s capacity fixed. It is the only 200 round mg in the game and the sole reason for that is because the devs gave it 2 times more ammo that it could carry historically. It would be much more simpler if stinger lost half of it’s capacity instead of adding more broken machineguns for other nations. And it would still be really good mg despite the nerf just not as broken as before

Give us the 250 belt 
it would be a standard tech tree mg, yes at 100 it would be good before they added 100 round tech tree. it wouldn’t be good for an event weapon unless they dropped its mag to 100 and its ratting to br4. unless they buffed it in some way it be a bad ‘event weapon’
