I am not good at English, so I wrote using a translator. Please laugh and move on even if there are awkward sentences or words.
The combination of the fact that the mortar can shoot without limit and the ammo box can replenish a large amount of ammo is creating a terrible experience. The mortar hides behind the cover and is conducting a one-sided slaughter of ordinary infantry, which reduces the fun.
On the actual battlefield, it is impossible for a mortar to fire a series of shots without a break. In fact, the mortar can’t fire with just a few shots due to overheating. In that respect, enlisted mortar systems are highly unreasonable and illogical.
Imo either reduce the mortar’s firing speed or add an overheating gauge. If the mortar’s firing speed is reduced, it will be able to improve the shell insertion motion in more detail, which looks like a very simple ‘human shell autoloader’.
I remember one invasion match where the enemy had THREE guys on their team all mortaring our defense point, was a terrible experience. I did go full tryhard though and we won lol.
The mortar itself is fine, though allowing it to use ammo crates to resupply is what makes it broken. Why this was ever allowed is beyond comprehension.
Because after 10 rounds its pointless and becomes a regular trooper squad. Whereas if you pick a gunner squad, run out of ammo, youre still a gunner. The whole point is, its a mortar battery. If you make it so you cant resupply your main purpose, youre just a trooper.
Which is why mortars should get a buff instead with 15-20 shells instead of the current 10 they get. And then remove the ability to use engineer resupply. Everyone is happy that way.
