they shloud rework D-Day map its really unbalanced from US side. sometimes its even hard to get on the beach. Make german side less op on this map
Once US gets through the beach, the battle is in 90% cases won for them. They just have to use their brains instead of running straight ino MG fire. Use snipers to take down MGs, flank, build rally points, destroy cracked parts of the wall, use tanks as cover and to destroy MGs… There are plenty of ways to deal with that “OP German” stuff.
Germans can also “use brain”: snipers on higher grounds, fortifications on caps, strategic use of tanks, flanking attackers, etc. It’s a bold theory that US-side players are just stupid. I would like to see the win ratio satistics for D-day and Airport maps. IMO both of them are very unbalanced - especially Airport, when Axis have players with MG class.
Yeah, that’s how this works. To win you must be smarter than your enemy. The most common complain is about MG nests. And those are OP only when you don’t even try to shoot them down or just don’t go straight into their line of fire.
Never said that only US players are stupid. That happens on both teams. I just said that they need to use the mechanics that game is giving them istead of relying only on “rush the point” tactic. As soon as they do that their winning chanced are much higher - in fact in CBT most of the matches on D-Day were won by Allies, with almost no complaints about the map.
So I think one can draw the conclusion that new players that came with OBT and are still to learn how the game works are the reason why that map can seem OP. Problem is that not everyone is willing to learn and some of those players demand nerfing everything that they don’t like instead of thinking a bit that problem may lay on their side.
I’m sure that devs have those statistics and would react if something would be truly wrong. Right now there are voices from both sides calling Airport map unfair. So if both teams feel unfairly treated on this map maybe it is not a maps fault? (Note that this are just my thoughts, I did not try that one map yet - maybe I will change my mind after I see it for myself)
My experience on Airfield (US side): around 10-20 games and one victory - on first game. In my opinion problem is that axis players have cover position to lay fire on allies pushing through tight ways.
D-Day is more complex - attacking is in general very costly, MG nests are only one of difficulties.
Maybe it will be better in the future, but now losing ~ 70-80% of games doesn’t encourage to play.
