It,s very fair to have all squads, weapons and soldiers. no one will loose absolute anything.
still, balance this new system is quite hard, yet i have a suggestion that might solve this problem. FOR EXEMPLE.
if i have a axis assaulter in squad in Moscow, Berlin, Normandy, Tunisia Stalingrad ( Even if it’s a medic), i got five assaulters squads, that means if i have no premium account will be able to deploy tree assaulter squads in tier 1 of campaign.
the suggestion is, make you won’t able to select more that one same type of squad of the same tier.
so you can’t use tree tier 1 sniper squads at the same time, the same will not apply to a Tier 1, Tier 2, Tier 3 sniper squad.
i think it’s a bit contradictory this suggestion, and hope i will not become barbecue in this topic. If you want to do so, I have 100 % faster get out flames of you flame trooper and vitality perk.
Well its the profits for investing in the game before merge version and yeah they should cap it someway
And those who started the game later are in disadvantage but its because they started later
the looming threat of “pro COD” player doing a very good impression of zerg rush gunning for you with SMG hordes. not a big problem in tunisia, but i find those players a menace especially in berlin.
in the current state of the game, the assaulter is very effective and can kill many lives in a very short time, while getting rid of his greatest weakness, which is the threat from a distance, because player can build a rally 20m from the objectives and suddenly everything becomes cqc, ie assaulter range of dominance
Instead of class restrictions, I would prefer to rework game mechanics in such a way that no one stands out or is left out.
then you could choose up to 10 assaulter classes but why would you need that?
right now with each weapon you unlock, the previous one becomes obsolete. This may be an intentional decision by the developers to emphasize grinding, but personally I would prefer if the unlocked weapons were simply different visually and in the way they were operated. People would still want to grind for them just for the sake of unlocking something new.
the whole problem is that the game mechanics currently consist in dumping everything you have the strongest on a point, respawning and again. Note that during the game, the periphery of the map is literally empty, if I make a deep flank in 90% nothing will stop me, the entire army is concentrated in this tiny point, this even makes it necessary to use weapons that perform well in cqc, because otherwise you will be in disadvantages.
the best solution at the moment would be to move rally points further away, this would force the need for weapons with lower RoF/higher dmg, because ranged clashes would be much more frequent and the cqc classes would not be effective ALWAYS, because it would involve the task of finishing all the way to the point, in turn it would require teamwork, smoke grenades, etc.
it would also make the death more impactful. it would have to be done neatly so as not to overdo it, we don’t want a walking simulator, but we don’t want a respawn simulator either, right?
ain’t sure if this is intentional but it would make sense since you basically start with almost entirely nothing more but bolt actions and you get frustrated because you’re not doing well, this makes you pay money to level quicky and unlock cqc weapons which gonna let you finally do well in game.
at least this is what I felt at the beginning of the game, the feel of “if only I haven’t had that stupid bolt action I would get him!”
guess what happens when you equip all newcomers with least effective weapons
and this leads to weird scoring in enlisted, you have players that do extremely well with 100+ kills and opposite side with players hardly go above 30 kills, one thing I noticed when I started grinding new faction is how terribly worse I did score, from 100+ kills to 30 averge
we need a game design which gonna make this game a game, not cash machine!
don’t tell the dev that i love tunisia’s beretta smg way more than the MP whatever and higher ranked SMG.
it’s a bit more elaborate and complicated than that. depending on the map, the concentration of force can actually be spread out, covering entry points and whatnot.
it just so happen that a lot of those mini camps are kinda awful hard to snipe or whatnot. or even worse, there’s too many places, path, and capture area where people can just hunker down safely from snipers and other marksman.
the fact that some of the most popular maps are crowded with buildings that encourage CQB style of combat makes it worse.
it’s why i like tunisia campaign despite it’s flaws.
i’m not sure making rally point further would solve the issue, or at the very least i highly doubt that it would work for most maps.
sadly, on some maps it’s already a respawn simulator, but i get what your point
most maps in enlisted as it is heavily emphasized CQB and guess which soldier type tend to have a very good automatic close range CQB focused gun?
“bu-but lovhes, what about automatic rifles that every class can use!” well shit, i don’t have those so those points are moot for me. maybe remove the gun then? iunno. my point is pointing out the reason of fearing 3 assault squad cycle.
me myself are too stupid too truly realize if enemy with automatic gun is the issue though. since i get butchered by too many weapon types as it is. machine gun, snipers, tanks, sniping tanks, rockets, that one time with mortar, and grenade spam, thrown or gun launched variant.
so i don’t really care about the squad limitation or whatnot itself, i am already kicked around by all the classes anyway.
Unfortunately, the matter was resolved a long time ago, mainly because of the game’s specification emphasizes CQB, players bought various premium squads, weapons, etc. and they will never let them be taken away from them.
the only way to solve this is to change map design and game mechanics to include more ranged battles in the game, while not making it a camping simulator.
i think you mis-quote part of my post? or are you telling me that (paying) players already spam automatic weapons already in multiple squads? anyway, that quoted part you replied to was me telling GeneralBrus that 3 assaulter squad =/= the same as 3 trooper (which one is this anyway? MG? flame? mortar?) or engineer, or any other squad. sure, most squad can have one or two assault soldier, but that’s kinda fucking different than actual 3 assault squad doesn’t it?
also most players as it is does not have access to 2 assault squad they can cycle trough, let alone 3. and in the test server, you can just do exactly that.
nobody did that during the test server mind you, but it is possible, and in a lot of map that would probably push the game into some hilarious short long-range skirmish and then endless brawl for every cap point.
thank(?) god that the test server are so shitty there’s not enough people trying to try 3 assault squad spam.
it was thorougly embarassing mind you. it makes me feel even more dumb and skill issue compared to my usual
I didn’t. I mean, that players already bought multiple assaulting SQUADS (or geared up existing ones with irl money) and they’re able to cycle through them. I’m not saying it’s okay though.
it is. I agree.
well, i’ve done it in test server just to see, aaaand, it was boring and not that effective as i thought, so maybe it’s not the issue after all? especially if the game keeps developing and we might see better and more interesting weapons and structures for other classes.
i found it funny because of how rare mortar squads are in the game, so the fact that “ONE TIME with mortar” got me
