Balance Paratroopers

Paratroopers seem to be the aces of all and also seem to have barely any flaws. They are equipped with anything you choose from the supply box and they can also drop everywhere.

Here are some things that could balance them:

  • When the plane is in critical, paratroopers will drop out sooner than they would. (If dropped outside the battlefield, then they will spawn like any other ejecting pilots, without supply box.)
  • Making the flight of the aircraft fairly longer, up to 20 seconds flight > That way enemy could control the drops with AA guns… I also love watching the scenery before jump.

Hello, it’s already implemented, if your plane is critically damaged, paratrooper squad is dropping early.

Thanks, I did not experience it due to how short the duration of the flight, so I haven’t been shot down.

Then it’s just the flight that should last a bit longer.

So it means basically 30 sec spawn if you count drop as well. That’s completely terrible. The game is too fast for it.

It would be better just put flare smoke in the place they’ll drop so enemies can prepare for them.

But look, you can spawn it anywhere, unlike other troops.
Even that long amount of time would save you alot of combat to get there…

20s is too much anyone can build an AA and kill all the paratrooper plane

They should just make the paratrooper plane rotate the map. Have two or three up at a time. Attacker planes can shoot them, if all planes are down, there can be a reinforcement timer until paras can be used. This can allow more defensive and offensive objectives for attacker pilots on both sides.

Okay, now on a serious tone. From what you marked as a problems, I can argue.

1.- Paras is vulnerable enough when landing.
2.- After landing in a hot spot, you still need to be able to pick up new equipment quickly, sometimes you don’t even have time to do that.
3.- Para squad queue time is the same as other squads, which means that you still have to wait until you can land with them again. Nothing faster here.
4.- You can still land only in the active combat area, it is impossible to do it behind enemy lines. So on this point alone, I would say that Paras just loses some of its functionality.

So for now, generally speaking, from what I’ve been testing Paras, they are the same squad, only able to land faster, closer to the capture ponit. That’s it. After landing, you still need to be able to arm yourself quickly, and try not to die too quickly. So I think that Paras has enough aspects to maintain its main goal - to be on the point quickly, without hurting them even more.

I have an idea to solve these problems.

  1. The landing aircraft starts at the spawn point of the players’ planes.
  2. A supply crate flies in a random direction.
  3. Paratroopers can be carried by the wind over a larger area.
  4. A damaged or downed landing plane does not drop a supply crate.
  5. The minimum number is three players choosing paratroopers and then three jets fly, and they start their flight at the bombers’ starting point.

Yeah you can spawn anywhere lmao, how about stop making bullshit when their spawn limitation is huge and cant even flank rallys . greyzone for paras is the same as any normal soldiers

most of the time u get killed by zones, you cant even deal with grey zone camping tanks nor ppl build rally new points, cuz you cant even reach them, and instant drop when you drop on combat zones, most of ur squads will be dead

no flaws? they legit drop so slow compared to games like Heroes and Generals where its instant drop, and you can drop at last second and still be safe. that shit allows you to get killed easily. drop below 200m and u instant die and has bugs sometimes where your whole squad dies

fact that you talk about paras dropping out sooner than they would when critial means you clearly never played para nor had exp with it

Ok, just a proposition but I think a message for the enemy team like “Paratrooper in coming” could be more than enough to make it a little more balanced.

Because right now the most raging thing is just behind shot in the back because you didn’t paid attention to the air 1min ago.

At least it was fortunate that there was no flamethrower in that supply box.
