Axis sniper rifles in Normandy

I have unlocked Sniper III in Normandy and it feels weird that each sniper weapon you unlock is much worse sniper and much better CQB weapon. G43 is far less accurate and loses damage over distance faster yet it is still usable but you need to fire more rounds. I just tried FG42 II and it has no place among sniper rifles even mid range the shots were landing all around the area of the scope. It is much better to just remove the scope and use it in CQB. But it really feels wrong that with each weapon sniper is pushed more and more into CQB.

The best dev can do is by reducing bloom/random bullet deviation of the first shot fired

If you look at the plus side, it turns your German snipers into very versatile all-rounders. You slam a large ammo pouch on them, and they become a bit less snipers but also troopers-assaulters at the same time.

Besides, I have yet to upgrade my sniper FGs, but I guess that once maxed out they’ll be better at sniping.

I noticed that the weapons are the same which is entirely wrong because only the best crafted rifles were turned into sniper ones.

I think we cannot see the dispersion of each weapon, it’s a hidden stat. So we can only make tests, but this is not very accurate. It would be clearer if dispersion was showed explicitly in weapon stats, in order to better evaluate them and chose the right weapon.

To me it feels really too random at times. Same with bots, they are either lame or terminators and I often have the same feeling when I shoot. It switches between 2 states - hits perfectly where you aim or misses completely or the shot disappears. It partly reminds me WoT where you saw crosshair dispersion and even if you had 80% covered by enemy tank, it still landed to the free 20% zone constantly.

The most annoying thing is that the FG 42 II has better scope magnification than the Gewehr - so even though it is less accurate, the FG 42 II picks out better shots. I still use the FG and often fire off 3 shots at extreme range in quick succession hoping one will hit.

I’ll always trade off accuracy for keeping the sight on the target, so I go for semi-autos over bolt action.

I’ve noticed this for the allies too where the 2nd level sniper rifle has worse optics than the first.

Can this dispersion data be published for all weapons?
