Avoiding NASCAR races like games

Many times I’ve witnessed teams winning games by :

  • rushing a capture point with 80-90% of the team, suddenly overwhelming the area
  • leaving the place, with absolutely NOONE staying there to defend
  • rinse and repeat ad nauseam
Those games are boring as hell. Losing our time capturing defenseless CPs or trying to defend one of ours without the smallest chance of success is absolutely no fun at all (and not many XP either).
So here comes my suggestion : why not make CPs slowly (or not so slowly) turning neutral when none of their owners are in their vicinity ? Not the ultimate solution but, well … it would be a start

Some of us want the minute lockout between caps to apply to invasion (same as confrontation)

where do you play?

Maybe defenders should get xp for staying on the objective and defending it.
Right now you only get xp for capturing and killing enemies inside objective so people don’t bother to stay because if they let the enemy caprure it they can get xp for both capture and killing when they return.

I VERY much agree on this.

What I would suggest is x number of points for being on the objective and holding it,
but DOUBLE that number for the time that you keep enemies completely cleared off of it.

This way it not only rewards defenders for fighting to hold the objective, but holding the enemies back from it as well!

@70134439 that might make for a good post.
