I always found this to be an existing problem but right now I must stand up and complain:
All SMG’s/MG’s in Enlisted work in either two ways. The first way is low firerate but no recoil and the second one is fast firerate but huge recoil. This is not just wrong but it’s unrealistic too because weapons recoil is not only defined by it’s firerate. So after the introduction of PPK and Mp-41 i recently realized that the team with more “slow MG’s” wins the most (for example PPK, Mp-40/41, Dp-27…). While the other “class” (Mg-13, PPD) despite having better performance at close quarters, middle range is where the most fights occure. Now this is just my opinion, there are people who like playing the “fast class” more but it requires them to play extremely aggressively which most players don’t enjoy
Edit: my entire squad just got killed by a PPK User at LONG RANGE. That thing has better accuracy than snipers
the MP could do with at least equal damage to the PPD per shot.
it would still have lower DPS due to the much lower (like 30% lower?) firerate, but at least the ammo efficiency is the same.
Are you guys also taking into account speed (sub sonic and supersonic) and mass of the bullets? Those are also very important and whether or not rifiling is employed in the barrel and the type of bullet as there many different versions of the same bullet
Idk just saying what I think with how these affect the recoil while they are not definitive recoil is a difficult thing to do as well and the game is still trying to get it down
Yeah it is very technical stuff all I can tell you is that the 9mm is very fat and so it doesnt go as fast and the devs probably reduced the recoil because of that
