They said they ‘reworked’ or something about the plane autocannons which performs worse than peashooters in plane vs plane combat, but apparently it was not true because there was zero changelog or edit to damage value whatsoever, is that true?

Anecdotal evidence would suggest that the cannons are not particularly cannon’esq
I see a lot of planes soaking up an a ton of Canon hits.
Especially alarming are the 30 mm hits, for most fighter aeroplanes one hit should be sufficient Let alone a dozen.

Exactly! You only forgot to add especially on those bi planes. I could maybe deal with normal planes taking that much damage (Ok game is not historical in many aspects anyways), but a freaking biplane flying circles around you after you literally hit it twenty times is comical if it wasn’t sad.

Part of the problem I think is what we are seeing on our front end isn’t necessarily happening on their end if that makes any sense.
Because when I fly those biplanes they are not very resilient, just a few hits usually will kill them, so I totally get what you’re saying I just think that there’s something of de- sink issue at times.
And something of a Canon problem.
I also think that maybe the game model is some sort of range effect, that the further you are from the target the less damage you’re doing, but I have no evidence apart from anecdotal evidence to support this.
And I think that kind of a model is fine except for the high explosive rounds which should not be subjected to a penalty for range.

i can confirm that now 20 MM kill plane much much more easily, apart for that i didnt notice anything else.
Exactly my thoughts! How can rockets not obliterate that thing in one hit if your indicator is telling you that you are hitting it repeatedly? Lol
My experiance yesterday hit a FW 6 times with a 37mm no problem he flew on fore like 2 mins with an addional bombing run. I hit him point blank with only the 37mm firing in the Yak9
Hit a ME 420 1 or 2 times with the 20mm his tail broke away, while i was like 500m away, it should just be luck that this happend, but it just feels like enlisted plane combat in one picture.
