Attempt to modify the calculation method for battle levels, so that our game becomes more in line with history

This was a German infantry squad in history.

According to our game’s design, it is
98K (br1) + mp40 (br2) + mg34 (br3) = br3

So, can we find a better way to calculate the grades, so that our battlefield can be more in line with history?

Perhaps we could adopt a point system. Let’s assume:
Team total (based on the actual number of team members present):
91 = br1 (9 < )
9
2 = br2 (10 - 18)
9*3 = br3 (19 - 27)
Weapon Points:
98K (br1) = 1
mp40 (br2) = 2
mg34 (br3) = 3

Following this pattern, then, the points for the German infantry squad that conform to historical facts should be: 98K7+mp401+mg341=17+21+31=12
In this way, it can go to br2.

Then, likewise, the Soviet infantry squad:
Originally: Mosin-Nagant rifle (br1) + PPSh (br5) + DP (br3) = br5
Now: Mosin-Nagant rifle * 7 + PPSh * 1 + DP * 1 = 1 * 7 + 5 * 1 + 3 * 1 = 15
So it can also go to br2.
If you think the Soviet forces’ firepower is too strong, then you can strengthen the German forces instead.
Now the German army is at 12, and they are still a bit short of 18. So we can:
98K6+fg4221+mp401+mg341=16+51+21+31=16
In this way, it can still go to BR2, but its firepower has been enhanced.

Moreover, we can also make adjustments to some weapons, for instance,

mg42 (br4) = 3.5
ppd34 (br1) = 1.5
Balance it in this way.

How about vehicles? Could someone bring tiger 2 to br 2 if he only uses kar 98ks for the rest of his troops?

I think this system only calculates the BR of a squad, the BR is still picked from which BR squad has the highest BR, so we can adjust it for vehicles to be overpowering because screw that high-BR crap

what you’re suggesting, is a battle score based on players equipment.

which goes against the very nature of history.

because that would mean, running in br 3 with undermanned squads for the sake of using the best weapons.

it can abused for seal clubbing. and worse, bring higher tier vehicles while the rest of the squads are bad, and roughly land in br III territory.

imo. the current system is better.
far from being perfect, but it can be improved with br -+0 brs.

and even bots if needed.
to avoid the br III going against br V or br Is going against br IIIs.

Oh, there are still some differences.

For instance,
The infantry squad consists of 9 people. When fully manned, it becomes…
The calculation methods are 91 = br1 and 92 = br2.
If only 8 people participate in the battle, then the calculation method should be:
81 = br1, 82 = br2. Then the score of br2 becomes (9 to 16).
So if you want to bring more advanced weapons, you will have to bring the largest infantry squad.
Because the calculation method for the 7-person assault team is:
br1 = 7, br2 = 8 - 14
In this way, the larger the maximum number of members in the team, the more advanced weapons are available for selection.
The more AI on the battlefield, the more it will dilute the players’ firepower. Originally, the ratio between players and AI was approximately 1:7, but now this ratio will increase to 1:9.

Vehicles and aircrafts should be uniquely locked behind certain theatres. They ruin the historical authenticity the most.

That way certain vehicles would become unplayable. Nobody wants to use puma in br 4. It would also ruin many premium vehicles like m24 chaffe which would exclusively go against late war german tanks.

Japan would also get screwed since 95% of their tanks are late war excluding few crappy ones like ha-go or ke-ni. For an example Ho-i and chi nu are 1944.

Soviets would have a field day with their 1939 and 1941 model kv 1s against panzer 3s and 2s.

The whole game would have to be redesigned and half of the content removed for any historical matchmaker to work. At that point it would be easier to make a completely new game
